Malik Jackson getting in on the fans now

#21

Quote:I heard him say the same. He sounded disappointed that there were more Oakland fans making noise than the Jags fans. It wasn't meant to be a slight.

I do however find it interesting how things get taken out of proportion by a certain segment of this board.

Just posted tweet by the Jacksonville radio station. Slow your role.

Just heard the quote. Meh, didn't bother me. Still do not think it is to damn smart to even walk that line. What is to be gained?

Looking to troll? Don't bother, we supply our own.

Then use that to fuel your intensity during the games!!!

Don't go on radio and act like its the fans' fault that you all underperform

This time last year, Malik was on his way to winning a Super Bowl.  This time last year, the Jags were floundering. Again. Like they have been for the last seven years. Malik didn't have to watch that.  The fans here did.

I'm curious if he regrets coming to Jacksonville.

Quote:@1010xl "Thought I saw more Oakland fans in our last home game. There might've been more Jags fans in the pool than cheering" Malik on #MiddayChalk

Honestly Khan has to step in and control this situation.

What is out of control?  An idiot makes a stupid claim, you find it on Twitter and lap it up like the lemming you are, and Khan should do what?  If anything, he should consider blocking your Internet access.

By the end of that game, the pools were far more entertaining than the product on the field.  Most people had already left.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I do. Not like he lost out on a ring or anything. He's got a superbowl title, something all players aspire to. He got a fat check and judging by his pictures it wouldn't surprise me if he's supporting half his family. He's probably a-ok with being in Jacksonville.

If there's anyone, it's probably Julius Thomas who's a bit better about being here.

I heard 1010xl play back his quote.

The last part of it irks me. Not verbatim, but he essentially says 'All of us -- Coaches, Players, and Fans-- need to step up'. The fans have been stepping up for the last 4 years when this regime began, and still bought the tickets.

It's concerning that players on this team feel entitled enough to even try to 'share' blame on us fans. What did we do wrong other than support this team emotionally and financially through the crap we've had to go through for the last 10 years?

I wonder if Khan has even addressed this with his players.

Malik is trying to get out of Jacksonville by creating chaos. Oakland has good fans and travel really well. They outnumbered Buc fans Sunday as well.

They didn't outnumber Jags fans on that particular day.

I would hardly define this as "chaos".

What about getting thrown out of the game and not hanging out with teammates after the game? Is that chaos? Would the Patriots do that? How's that sit with Gus as a head coach? Gus doesn't seem to care as to letting the inmates Odrick, Malik, and Ramsey do whatever they want even though they give up 30 points per game.

This team lacks so much leadership it's not even funny.

I don't think anybody is denying that Gus is a moron. Their (Jackson/Ramsey) frustration clearly shows that their passion and ability outweigh the ability of the coaching staff.

I think the Jags would see a lot more of their fans at away games too if they were winning like the Raiders

I agree. I like the passion. The problem is the discipline. Personal fouls and 123 penalty yards in certain games isn't going to cut it in the NFL. Ramsey and these rookies are learning bad habits from terrible coaching.

Absolutely, and that is why Doug Marrone would have been a good interim HC after the bye week. Gus has nothing else to prove. He knows he is a dead man walking and his job is un-savable, and it shows in his passion, press conferences, and the overall lack of respect his team seems to have for him.

Marrone would have approached the job from a wanting to be here permanently standpoint and would have demanded the players respect. If not here, he would have essentially been auditioning for a HC job somewhere next year.

It is insulting. They think firing an OC is going to just tide the fans over until the end of the season.
