He would suck in Jax. They got a all pro rb,all pro offensive line, a top diva wr, old former all pro wiley veteran TE, a better backup qb for mentoring, a better head coach. We got crap.

 

Exactly, which is why I'm suggesting we trade back in the draft, build our OL with extra picks, and draft a QB mid-rounds.

Absolutely. Wentz was actually on my radar very early in the year. I happened to catch a NDSU game the season before and the kid really looked the part, so I followed him pretty closely via game tapes on the web although finding them proved quite the challege. There just wasn't much out there, especially since he was injured. If it weren't for me watching that game the year before though, I would have never known about him. It was just dumb luck. As for Lynch, for some reason Memphis had like 4 games on television in my area early in the 2015 season and I got to see him play a number of times. His accuracy and ability to throw on the run really caught my eye. I like bigger pocket QB's with accuracy, instincts and the ability to throw on the run. Again, I just got lucky that I was able to watch Lynch play so much that year.

 

The jury is still out in a major way on those guys.  People are quick to anoint, then even quicker to declare someone a bust.

 

Blake needs fixing, but all the stuff he's doing to show the will to do so is 1/2 the battle.

Because Tom Brady said he'd like to play another 10 years and with the way he's playing now, that could happen. The guy looks superhuman. They also recently drafted Jacoby Brissett who looks promising as well and he'd cost a lot less than Garrappolo, who will probably command a sizable contract. The Patriots are all about saving money. They also love accumulating draft picks.

 

Did you see Brissett try to throw deep I'm not sure if he is starter material.

I would need to study the draft class coming out before saying exactly what we should do. That being said, I would be open to getting a QB in the first 2 rounds.

Having competition is good and having trade material for which ever Qb that doesn't win the battle in a year or 2 isn't a bad thing either.

Some of that had to do with timing issues and getting on the same page with receivers. Remember, the kid is a rookie and he was 3rd string. Nobody thought he would even touch the field this year or probably next season either with Jimmy ahead of him. Just the fact that they drafted him was a surprise, considering everyone thought Jimmy G. was the heir to the starting QB job. Seeing that the Patriots drafted him, kept him on the roster and gave him an emergency start instead of going after a proven free agent should tell you how highly they think of him.

WIth Bortles and Allen I feel like next year's qb is on the roster already. As for Henne, he simply needs to go already.
