Nah, he was fine in the mechanics last year, he needs another offseason of work. He's not getting that inseason.

His mechanics weren't fine last year, they were just better than they are now so it looks good in comparison. They were still among the worst in the league last year too don't mistake that.

Well, currently he's arm punting the ball, so pretty much anything looks great by comparison. His rookie season looked good by comparison.

Why don't we just throw deep on every 3rd down. If they intercept it, it's like a really good punt. If we catch it or if they interfere it would be a huge gain, but please stop throwing quick outs that get picked off week after week.

I guess the problem is scouts get so caught up in the measurables and the athletic talent which BB does have and lose sight of the intangibles. Accuracy and vision may be the most essential qualifications to play the position at this level and that's Bortles' weakest areas.
