College Football Playoff Week 11 Rankings

#21

Quote:However, if Ohio State beats Michigan, the CFP committee would rather put the Buckeyes (who will have beaten three top 10 teams in conference play), than a team that started the season unranked. This thread is about the CFP, which does not have a conference champion requirement for team selections. Seriously, do you think just because OSU did not win the East (if that happens), Penn State is a better team?

If Penn St. wins out and wins the Big Ten Championship game, both teams might get in.

Nobody would like that except Penn State fans.

Yes it does. Sucky teams don't make the playoffs. Fortunately for us we don't root for sucky teams.

Well, Penn State did beat the Buckeyes, so there's that.

And, I'm a Buckeyes fan.

Yes, but the CFP committee knows it would lose a lot of viewers if they had to watch a team that started the season unranked and only got there by beating a team that was in the top 10 all season. Money talks.

Looks like I messed up when I started posting the CFP rankings. This is the Week 11 link:

The CFP committee did not care about three top 5 teams losing. Michigan dropped only one spot to #3. Clemson dropped only one spot to #4.

Interesting Rankings.

Ohio State vs Michigan is a HUGE game now (not that it wasn't gonna be anyway).

I can't wait for that one.

Louisville looks to be sitting real pretty, jumping into and possibly staying in the #4 spot after either OSU or Michigan loses.

I was surprised Michigan and Clemson each dropped only one spot after losing to unranked teams. Ohio State dropped four spots after losing to an unranked team. That tells me the only way Michigan doesn't go to the playoffs is losing in Columbus. The closer we get to "The Game" the angrier I am about being forced to miss it.

Louisville should pay close attention to the most important Michigan/Ohio State game in 10 years.
