Mike Pence Lectured at "Hamilton" performance

We went from:

Tweet from Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) - I settled the Trump University lawsuit for a small fraction of the potential award because as President I have to focus on our country.

Tweet from Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) - Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!

Tweet from Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) - The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!

Let's focus on the country, not trivial matters like you said DJT.

Someone in his camp needs to sit him down and make him delete his Twitter account. It doesn't do him any good whatsoever. I can't wait to see the tweets when Kim Jong-un says mean things about him.

He said they were rude, which they were. He also pointed out that before the publicity stunt they instructed the audience to crowd stream on social media. That's cheap.

Rude? Like interrupting with "YOU'RE  the puppet!" rude? The performance was over, Pence was leaving. These folks had a platform and they used it, politely and respectfully.

Good grief, jj, your boy is swimming in uncharted waters (for him) now, he needs to grow up and realize people are going to do and say things he doesn't like. He should do his job and quite reacting to every blip on the radar.

As much as I don't like Pence, he had a good response (far better than some of his supporters, and President Elect Trump)

At least the Vice-President Elect is an adult. From the linked article:

Quote:<div>Pence said he'll leave it up to others to determine whether that was the "appropriate venue for that," and then offered praise for the show.

"Hamilton is just an incredible production and incredibly talented people. It was a real joy to be there," Pence said.

Pence noted when he arrived at the show, he heard a few boos and some cheers.

"And I nudged my kids and reminded them, that's what freedom sounds like," Pence said.

Turnabout is fair play? That only makes one look petty. You don't win a debate by lowering yourself to your opponent's standards.

Looks like he did a good job distracting away from Trump U and "Le Nazi Bannon and Sessions"

I guess all that can be really said about this is, had the fellow who made the speech watched Trump's 60 Minutes interview it may have answered some questions for him. Trump pointed out that he wasn't going after illegal immigrants unless they are criminals (at least initially) and he's not going to mess with the LGBTQ folks. I suppose the media doesn't think he's a threat to the black community because he wasn't asked about them at all, she only asked questions on subjects he campaigned on with relentless fervor.

I think Trump's biggest challenge is going to be self restraint. They may go through several press secretaries before the first year it out.

Very very stupid choice. In doing that they opened up every performance of Hamilton to political arguments from the audience.

He was also a customer and should expect some sort of respect for buying a ticket.

This isn't a big deal, but we can't simply dismiss any criticism against the Hamilton cast under the excuse of "Free Speech".

Pence handled it perfectly.

Apparently someone in Chicago already took it there. Incidentally, this representation of a "diverse" America has already been cited for discriminatory casting practices. Can't make this stuff up.

Haha

I guess when he was scared that Pence wouldn't defend their inalienable right, he didn't include white people in that. Apparently, their non-white casting call violated the city's civil right's law.
