We have way to many holes to trade up. We need to sit tight and see what fate has for us. Lady Luck is overdue to pay us a visit.

The only positive to having this many holes is that no matter who we take in the first round (Bridgewater, Mack, Barr, Clowney etc.) they will be an instant starter and instant upgrade.

An argument can even be made to take Watkins or Evans since Blackmon's future is uncertain.

While I disagree with taking WR that early, the point is that we can upgrade our team with any of those picks. Which makes trading up the wrong move.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Id give up an extra 1st, and two 2nds. Worth it IMO.

I dont like the idea of trading up for him.  Too many holes on this team.  And I dont see him as the absolute lead pipe lock great NFL QB.

Our 3 prior GMs did.

I'm not an advocate of giving away the farm for fan crushes.  It never seems to work out.

I'd rather pick Clowney/Barr/Mack then trade up to get Bortles

Trading up for Blackmon seems to have been pretty good for us, if he can get his act together.  Personally I trust Caldwell enough to decide to trade up or not.  This is a new regime.  I'm not sure why some people want to pass on the sins of Gene Smith and Shack Harris to Caldwell.

As much as I like Teddy I wouldn't trade much for him. Now if the Texans didn't want him but were smart enough to pick him and at least squeeze a 4th rounder out of us, I'd do it. Maybe even a 3rd. But I'm not into trading away a 2nd rounder again.

Trade picks to a divisional rival for a player who will probably drop to our pick regardless.

Football. Genius.

That is the danger: the quarterback-starved Vikings probably will want to leapfrog us for the #2 pick. The Redskins lost today, so we can't move up to #2 if they lose next week.

The Julio Jones trade worked out perfectly, but the Falcons had to move up from #27 because they were a playoff team at the time and that is a long way from #6. For the Jaguars, I agree with you.

What price do you put on a franchise QB? I believe Teddy can be a perennial pro bowler. Giving up an extra 1st and 2 seconds is worth a decade plus of stellar QB play.

All depends on the price

I doubt that they would trade for him if any team drafted him and would go to either their next option if tb is even their top qb or the BAP

Is there any GM that doesn't suck at trading up? I don't think it's the personnel, it's the concept that doesn't work out.

You must have missed my post about Julio Jones. He is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and was expected to be a top 10 pick. Is there any reaszon not to like that trade?

Someone who worked for the Falcons at the time was David Caldwell.

Yup.  If the Rams are willing to take a reasonable deal to swap picks, I would pull the trigger.

Scenario:

Texans select Clowney/Barr and find their QB in Free Agency

Jags give up our 2nd to swap picks with the Rams to select Teddy Bridgewater (or whoever Dave wants)

Rams turn down better deals from Browns/ Vikings to guarantee that Jake Mathews is on the board

The rebuilding clock officially starts, and we move into this next era

After further review I've come to the conclusion that the Rams will not trade out of that spot if the Jags are picking #3.

Last year, the Jaguars proved they aren't afraid to use a top 3 pick on a position they're already young and solid at. The Rams won't risk it

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
