Quote:Haven't you noticed it's gone from global warming to global climate change? That way no matter what happens they can say "see...we told you so"!! That's because science changes it's hypotheses and theories based on what it observes. Quote:There was global warming when the Earth was flat, and the center of the Universe. This is all truth, I was there. Quote:That's because science changes it's hypotheses and theories based on what it observes. So when they were shoving global warming down our throats as if it were fact we should have just went with it?

It was a terrible year for weather. Just not in our hemisphere, and it didn't kill anyone we know.
The sideline is really creeping more and more political.

We're a small, secret society based movement designed to overthrow and bring down the political prowess of this want-to-be governed, socially distanced, free commerced, political jargan, buzz word speaking, ham and eggers who are tired of the corruption and civil unjustices brought forth in this great sideline forum we call home.. We're gonna go dump some tea in the St. Johns River at 8am on Christmas morning.. Join us... Brother!!!
You'd better dump some green tea, then. If you dump regular tea in the brown St. John's River, then nobody's going to notice...

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

If you want to find out that reason, contact our Jr. VP of Operations Bchbunny.. Her codename is "Lipton" and tell her that you're here for the teabagging initiation.. All initiatees will be blindfolded for the initiation..

^^thats from today. But ignorance is bliss, so pick your poison carefully. And it regards to the term 'climate change,' the name change refers to the findings that the global warming occurring doesn't lead to blanket temperature rises all over the world but rather it changes the climate (more rain some areas, less elsewhere, etc). Global warming begets climate change. Carry on.
I'm honestly more worried about the garbage GMO's they're putting in the food then global warming or climate change. The garbage we're eating every day can't be good, and I'm preaching to myself here, I love my fried foods, chips, beer, soda and pizza as much as anyone.
Me and the wife are actually planning on starting a little vegetable garden this year and trying to raise some organic food, figure in the least it might help reduce the grocery bill with 4 growing kids in the house. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Did you know that carrots are orange because of genetic modification? Carrots were originally red, yellow and even purple. But it was those crafty Dutch that used selective breeding to modify the genes of carrots to make them orange as a tribute to the House of Orange. But it was those crafty Dutch that used selective breeding to modify the genes of carrots to make them orange as a tribute to the House of Orange. No I didn't know that, que your handy "the more you know" thing ![]() What I'm talking about is the pesticides they put in our food, I'm not sure about across the pond but everything is shipped cross country it seems like so they load our food up with pesticides, freeze and ship it all over the country. I heard someone say why does the "wealthiest" nation on the planet with the "most advanced medical equipment" have the highest rate of cancer, diabetes, SIDS, and other various forms of disease? It really is a scary thing to think about. I say this as me and wife are about to go out and celebrate our anniversary at a restaurant where who knows what is in the food, but oh well, something to think about or not.
Quote:No I didn't know that, que your handy "the more you know" thingGMO's don't have pesticides. They're specifically engineered to withstand diseases and parasites without the use of pesticides. There are certainly drawbacks to using GMO's and their effect on human health is far from full understood but it's certainly not from the use of pesticides. And like it or not, GMO's could very well save billions of lives. The world as it is developing now is headed for a massive overcrowding problem and crop yields right now are just barely keeping pace with demand. GMO's, with their massively improved crop yields and ability to grow in places that used to considered effectively barren, look to be able to help us keep pace and we might even reach a point where we're ahead of demand. As for your last point, just remember the golden rule of statistics; correlation does not imply causation. |
