I believe in Bortles

Quote:We already thoroughly debunked every one of these. Did you think that disappearing for two weeks was going to get us to forget the truth? All that matters is scoring defense. Jags have been #26-31 the past 4 years. All the other stats are irrelevant. Last in INTs, first in penalties. In case you never knew, games are won based on POINTS given up, not yards. When you defense allows a 30 year old RB to run for 75 yard TD McCoy or last year a QB to run 91 yards for a TD, you know the D sucks Jags defense is #32 in NFL in takeaways We show less advertisements to registered users. Why don't you ask Matthew Stafford who's WHOLE career has had a terrible defense yet this year Detroit is a #15 scoring defense and is in the playoff hunt. Barry Sanders? Dan Marino? If your team is AWFUL, you don't stand a chance. Your showing a lack of common sense right now, by trying to defend a qb who has a worst win percentage the Blaine Gabbert.. And what the [BLEEP] do Matt Stafford have to do with the Jaguars?? Lol bro..just stop. Bortles aint the worst but he aint the best. Im not sure if hes even average... Bortles might one day be pretty good but Hell how long do you wanna wait for that MIGHT?? Hmm. Quote:All that matters is scoring defense. Jags have been #26-31 the past 4 years. All the other stats are irrelevant. Last in INTs, first in penalties.Scoring defense is bad because Blake can't sustain drives. The defense has been good. Could use more turnovers of course, but still plenty good enough to win if we were getting even average QB play. Exceedingly simple to understand. Quote:All that matters is scoring defense. Jags have been #26-31 the past 4 years. All the other stats are irrelevant. Last in INTs, first in penalties. Like I said Raiders are 9-2 with the #23 scoring defense. Other things play into factor like how many 3 and outs our offense is having.

Bortles might one day be pretty good but Hell how long do you wanna wait for that MIGHT?? Hmm. How long do I want to wait?! Ummm...until the inept owner hires a capable head coach. Otherwise the Jags should cut Bortles so his career can flourish like Del Rio and Mularkey and the Jags can be stuck with a 15-20 TD worse QB. Sounds about right We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

The Jags are #32 with 7 Quote:All that matters is scoring defense. Jags have been #26-31 the past 4 years. All the other stats are irrelevant. All that matters in the end is points given up, according to you. Quote:The Raiders are #3 in NFL in takeaways at 19. The Jags are #32 with 7But all that matters is points allowed? Quote:But all that matters is points allowed? In the grand scheme of things yes. That's why the Raiders have zero chance of winning in the playoffs
Garrard would have us with a winning record right now. Hell, so would Byron.
I even think Gabbert would of led us to more wins. <-- Thems fighting words right there. Quote:In the grand scheme of things yes. Quote:That first round bye will be sweet though right? You won't win long term without a top 15 scoring defense. Matt Ryan and Drew Bree's are both having MVP seasons and their scoring defenses are #29 and #30. It doesn't matter what the QB does if your defense isn't playoff caliber. Gus never fixed the defense. #27 scoring defense, last in NFL in takeaways and #1 in penalties.
Look, the fact that the kid is willing to admit---Publicly I might add---his specific faults, his shortcomings, and admit he is struggling, and pay to work through it, with simply pathetic coaching from the building speaks volumes.
I get it- He's the QB and gets the heat. But to say a guy who has had success is a total bust is, amongst other things, an unhealthy way to deliver results. Lot's of guys struggle. Some have the intestinal fortitude to overcome it. I see nothing to say that 5 can't do exactly that.
Quote:The Raiders are #3 in NFL in takeaways at 19. The Jags are #32 with 7 Raiders are also pretty good in not throwing INT's....wonder who is tied for the league in throwing the most picks? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:A slice of swiss cheese is embarrassed by how many holes this dude has in his logic. You want to tell that to Drew Brees who's last 5 years has a losing record yet his past 5 years he's set NFL records for passing in a 5 year stretch?! It doesn't matter what the QB does if your defense isn't playoff caliber.Look man. The majority of posters on this board are willing to give Blake another year. There are lots of things wrong with this team and the defense is one. Blake has also been one. He doesn't score early in games which puts stress on the defense when they're on the field so much. Bradley will be gone and Bortles will have an off season to really work on his mechanics and footwork. Stop defending him at every turn. He's not the only problem but he is one of them.
