I try to buy my wife three things: something shiny, something sexy and something practical. Last year I bought her a birthstone set, a pair of kick [BLEEP] boots, and a shoe rack/bench for the entry way. This year I got her a diamond ring and a really ummm slutty something something to wrap it in and a new laptop. I like that card idea though, that might be an add on.
