All I care about is that my alma mater, Miami University (Ohio), finally made a bowl game. After an 0-6 start, we changed QB's and reeled off 6 wins in a row. St. Petersburg Bowl here we come.

Alabama is the only SEC team that was ever in the top 5 and is completely deserving of its #1 ranking. Georgia, Tennessee, and LSU were overrated before CFP polls were released.
Here is the official explanation for choosing Washington over Penn State:
