Quote:How irrational is my fear that we're just going to end up with Marrone next year? It's much less likely than it would have been in Doug Marrone took over as Jaguars Interim HC after the team's loss in Tennessee last month. Every game that goes by that Marrone doesn't become Interim HC reduces his chances to become the Jaguars HC for the 2017 season. We show less advertisements to registered users. Is he a 3-4 or 4-3 guy? In Doug Marrone's final season as Bills HC, they used ' the Wide 9' 4-3 base Defense with Jim Schwartz as DC. What that means if Marrone becomes a HC again remains to be seen. Yet, the Bills Defense did rank # 4 in 2014. Quote: In Doug Marrone's final season as Bills HC, they used ' the Wide 9' 4-3 base Defense with Jim Schwartz as DC. Although I know a lot of people prefer the idea of getting an offensive mind in here. so on that side of things I'm interested in Mike Shula... while he has no NFL HC experience he was HC for Alabama. He's been a QB coach and OC for a couple different teams. And coached Garrard to one of his best years and has been in on the development of Cam Newton.
This randomly shows up on NFL.com about Lane Kiffin as an NFL OC, so I thought I'd post it here.

Remember, he never had that experience before being named head coach of the Raiders in 2007; his brief NFL experience prior to that was as an offensive quality control assistant with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Finishing 3rd in your graduation class at Georgetown is a terrific accomplishment. Also, Schwartz has a wealth of NFL coaching experience. I give Schwartz credit for taking a team that finished 0-16 the season before he became Lions HC, leading the team to the playoffs in his 3rd season. However, IMO, for Schwartz to have a more successful stint as a HC the 2nd time around, he needs to put more emphasis on discipline on and off the field. Also, he needs to have his Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach to stress fundamentals more than was the case when he was the Lions HC. Schwartz also needs to have better people skills than he did in his 5 seasons in Detroit. Mike Shula would be well worth considering for the Jaguars HC position for the reasons you mentioned. Being that the Panthers have an uphill battle to make the playoffs, there probably will be no restrictions with interviews and when Shula can be hired if the Jaguars choose to go in that direction.
Quote:At this point, I'd take nearly anything, as long as it's not Gus. Isn't this how we got Gus? "I'll take anything as long as it's not Mularkey" (4 years later) "I'll take anything as long as it's not Gus" (2 years later) "Awww hell. Bring Gus back at this point." Anything but gus is how we end up with a guy making us wish we still had Gus. (Because at least then we'd have Sprinkles)
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Can somebody just go ahead and make BCHBUNNIE head cheerleader already? I'm sick of people constantly requesting this.

@RapSheet: Sources: #Rams coach Jeff Fisher has, in fact, signed a contract extension. The long-discussed deal is believed to be for 2 years.
Jags don't have much room to talk. But boy, imagine being a Rams fan right now.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

It's going to be interesting to see what happens when Stan Kroenke and Kevin Demoff start the process of selling luxury seats for their future stadium in Ingelwood, CA. The honeymoon of the Rams being back in the Los Angeles area officially ended this morning. There are multiple reasons to root against this team, especially Kroenke, Demoff, Jeff Fisher, and Gregg Williams. https://twitter.com/LATimesklein/status/...0801860608
Gary KleinVerified account @LATimesklein 37m37 minutes ago

Rams Coach Jeff Fisher and GM Les Snead have received contract extensions, person with knowledge of situation said.

Gus would need to go 16-0 for two seasons to have the same win % as Jeff Fisher.
Just think about that. Bradley would need to go undfeated for two years in order to have the same win % as the guy who has lost the most games in NFL history as a HC.
I don't care if we have an offensive minded guy, or defensive minded guy. I want someone who can assemble a good staff and knows how to get a team prepared to play. Someone who knows how to manage in game scenarios.
