CFP Final Four + all other bowl games

Quote:I'm not saying that Michigan is more talented than FSU, but saying that "FSU is far more talented than Michigan" is really selling Michigan short. Michigan might not be as deep as a team like FSU, but Michigan's starting unit is solid.

Only FSU homers say stuff like that. I stopped calling FSU overrated after its 11-spot drop to #13. Later as Louisville began looking like "Lamar Jackson and everyone else" while losing games I thought FSU's blowout loss there was not really as much about Louisville's defensive talent as FSU kicking itself in the butt.

How many FSU players are projected to be drafted in 2017?

I'm not sure if it's him being an FSU homer or him just being unfamiliar with Michigan's roster. We are a lot of talent.

In fact, we are losing so much talent this year that most reasonable Michigan fans are expecting a step back next year. We are going to be really young next year.

John is a homer. I am sure he knows Jabrill Peppers is a can't-miss prospect and likely Top 10 pick and some good things about a guy with the last name Butt.

We only have nine seniors on this roster, and of those nine I would say that Demarcus Walker, Marquez White, Kareem Are, and maybe Kermit Whitfield, due to his speed, get drafted. And add in Dalvin Cook to that because we all know he's leaving.

We have a lot of young talented underclassmen. The 2018 draft should be pretty good for FSU players.

I'm a homer for using recruiting rankings to say FSU is more talented?

I'm sorry that I actually look into things before just spouting off like you do.

If we go by just recruiting rankings then I think it is fair to say FSU is far more talented. FSU has recruited at a very high level longer than Michigan, but that was before Harbaugh arrived.

Now being able to coach up and develop the talent is another thing, and I'm not selling Michigan short at all there, because obviously Harbaugh is an outstanding coach.

If going by recruiting, Michigan is not far behind FSU on a five year average and they are even with FSU on a blue chip ratio. I think the differences between the two teams are the amount of starting seniors and they have a Don Brown while FSU is stuck with Charles Kelly.

Quote:And it is not even close. There is a reason Michigan was a top five team until last week.

A real Ohio State fan would never say this.

In my opinion, if Penn State played Ohio State again I think they would beat them.  That's my reason for putting them in the top 4.

I would agree with that. This is a good Ohio State team, but they're young.

Penn State looked legit on Saturday.  I was surprised at how strong they looked.

VT may have given Clemson the scare that prepares and pushes them to the title.

Go Tigers!

1. Hoke was actually a solid recruiter so the cupboard wasn't bare.

2. I don't think you can go by just recruiting rankings. Lewis and Butt weren't top 100 recruits yet are All American locks

Recruiting rankings mean nothing if you don't watch the kids play. That is why I never talk about college football recruits before they sign with schools.

No it isn't. Most CFB analysts would agree FSU is a more talented team. Michigan makes up for it with coaching though.

I fully expect Penn St. to lose in the Rose Bowl and Michigan and Ohio St. to win their first bowl games. I think OSU and Michigan are 1a and 1b in terms of best team in the Big Ten.
