CFP Final Four + all other bowl games

Quote:Michigan is the better team.

They were kinda hosed @OSU, imo.

But hey...

FSU could beat them...

I for one think Clemson might knock off OSU and we'll be seeing a rematch from last year for the National title

What do you mean by kinda hosed?

FSU can beat Michigan. Iowa beat Michigan. But is it likely? Michigan blew out Penn State. FSU was blown out at Louisville. If those two games were not anomalies, the answer is no.

The missed P.I. calls were more egregious than the spot to be honest. Watch that first play. Gross.

The video shows bad calls and non-calls against both teams. How can you really say the game was fixed when officiating errors were not mostly in favor of Ohio State?

The most egregious one is DPI when the ball was uncatchable.

No it doesn't.

The officiating errors certainly favored Ohio St.

MissJagsFanatic, do you see that 1st play of the video? Where the Michigan WR gets tackled before the ball gets there?

Thoughts?

I watched the video again, with the sound on this time. How on Earth do officials miss that foul?

To add insult to injury, it was right after Ohio St.'s first drive where they called a less blatant Defensive Holding call. If that one was called, this one certainly should have. Instead Ohio St. got the benefit both times.

That early in the game bad calls/no calls should not matter as much as crap like J.T. Barrett's free first down.

We used Autodesk Inventor (3D Parametric Modeling program similar to AutoCADD) to place the football and "line to gain" marker just as the view on television showed it.

When looking at the view just like television, the ball looks to be across the line.

However, when rotating the whole image to get a look at a perfect horizontal view and a perfect view from above it, the football is about a yard short of the line to gain.

It was a VERY "iffy" call. The human element of the referees totally affected that play.

While watching the game, I thought he made it (or was Extremely close).

Drawing the image in 3D CADD, it doesn't look like they made the right call there at all.

**I'm a Buckeyes fan btw. But, I think they got it wrong.

Jagherd, even if the call was correct, there was no excuse for not measuring the ball spot. Anytime it is that close they have to measure.

If only Barrett knew it would have been a good idea to hold the ball in his left hand on that play, there would not be an issue.

They still matter. That missed P.I. on play 1 would've extended Michigan's drive because it happened on 4th down. That was big.

Ohio St. had two drives extended on 3rd down plays with questionable P.I. calls. Those are huge.

I don't think the spot is as bad as the P.I. calls because the spot is a legitimately tough call. Some of the blown P.I. calls were just downright bad calls.

And some of those plays happened late in the game (including the 4th Quarter and Overtime)

I have known for a long time known Ohio is the Bobcats.

What I don't know is why some posters think the Bobcats are in the Big Ten, playing against Clemson next month, and a team I like.

You know as well as I do that most people outside of the midwest don't even know that the Ohio Bobcats exist.  They equate Ohio as being Ohio State.  As a Bobcat, the pain is real.
