The coaching is the problem. Three blockers and three defenders on a screen and they can't block. Run a stretch and the LB comes through unblocked. Just pathetic.

And then the first defender, regardless if it's a NB or MLB, brings down the ball carrier by himself or with some Herculean one handed effort.

I get that the decision to hire and retain Gus ultimately falls on Caldwell, but the lack of coaching on even the fundamentals is absurd and really makes me wonder how much better our players would be with new staff.

 

There is talent on the roster. When Coughlin is hired I think the Jaguars could go to the playoffs in his first year.
