No, sorry. Gus is hands down the worst head coach in nfl history. Nobody else compares.

Jeff Fisher just can never put together a competent offense.


Mike Smith is not a very exciting option but he's probably a safe bet to at least turn things around.


I like Sean McDermott from Carolina. Idk if he has what it takes to be head coach, but he has earned a chance.

I think it's funny to hear Mortensen listing the reasons for Fisher being fired, and one of the main items is fan apathy.  This fan base hasn't had a team in over 20 years, and are in the first year of getting one back in LA, and they're apathetic?  Unbelievable.  This just goes to show you that no matter how desperately the NFL wanted to be back in LA, the fan base was going to revert to the same behavior that cost them their teams previously. 

 

It remains to be seen if their GM is done as well.  Kroenke is a horrible owner.

 

 

    Related to what you mentioned,   I think the NFL made a huge mistake choosing the Rams to be the first/ primary team going back to Los Angeles.   On multiple levels.   They looked at the investment capital that Stan Kroenke provided,  not his track record as an NFL owner and an owner in other sports.

  The key is can Tony Romo stay healthy?   He hasn't been able to and his age is working against him.   When relatively healthy,  Romo should be able to elevate a team in a significant manner or even more than that.

I just heard today that in 21 seasons as a HC, fisher had 6 winning seasons. He might actually rival Gus as the worst head coach of all time.

I counted 11 winning seasons in 22 years (including this year).
