Savage can also throw something that resembles a spiral, Blake does not.

You shouldn't need tape on a late round QB with no reps

Bortles blows. Savage does not. Pretty simple to see this.

That doesn't say much about Blake, then.

lol exactly, him not playing should be more of a hindrance to him than anybody else.  No tape my [BAD WORD REMOVED], he hasn't played a game in 2 years lol

He comes in halfway through the second and [BLEEP] on our starting qb of the past 3 years, and picks apart our "amazing" defense that you guys gush over.

How do you know? He was drafted in 2014 and has hardly played up to this point.

No, you shouldn't, but its Bradley's defense. QBs tend to look good in their first couple games until they get exposed. Look at Goff, or Wentz.

Sorry but you can't bring up the offensive line in pass blocking as an excuse on why Bortles is bad. He can't throw a spiral, he can't read the defense, his throwing motion is complete garbage and doesn't seem like it's ever going to change. He'd look just as bad with the Dallas Cowboys offensive line.

Also, Savage has more than 2 pass plays...Our 2 pass routes are down the left sideline ( make sure you are always within 6 inches of the out of bounds marker ) and down the right sideline.

Yes, this is true. He also looks better than Bortles. That's where we are right now.

I am curious to see how the Savage Beast performs against a real defense with a better pass rush. We generated ZERO pressure on him today. There was even a point in the game where they stopped running the ball. Not implying he is worse than Osweiller, but he sure as heck isn't as good as we made him look.

Bortles gets happy feet, is indecisive, is inaccurate, can't read a defense, and simply just forgot how to take off and run when it's there. He is damaged goods at this point.

The Savage vs Bortles debate can be answered in one simple question: Which QB would you rather have for your team, Savage or Bortles?

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

That's a pretty bold statement considering he's never started a game, came in and drove the ball down the field, and looked pretty darned sharp doing it.

The guy had zero pressure on him the entire game and all day to throw the ball. It was the perfect scenario for him to come in and get his beak wet and Billy O. knew it.

Kinda hard to win football games (no matter who you're playing) when the QB has a rating hovering at around 35%. It appears he is sliding further down and if he has ANY confidence level at the end of the season...............that alone might be considered a miracle. This guy is in "serious trouble". I think it's NOW safe to say.............he's not A or even THEE Franchise player. They just might end up going 2-14. That is simply NOT ACCEPTABLE for a team that showed so much promise. HEADS have got to roll in the off season and frankly I don't know how you cannot start that head rolling and bypass Gus Bradley. At the end of the day, Caldwell assembles the team but Gus is responsible for coaching and getting them ready each Sunday. That simply isn't happening and hasn't happened for what is going on multiple seasons now. I don't know how you CAN'T pull the trigger and release Gus Bradley. That said..................this team has MAJOR problems but until change is implemented and fresh faces come in "right at the top" I'm concerned the team will not be in all that much better shape next year or the year (s) after. The Jags need new faces.

Well, Bortles and Gus certainly fooled him, and us fans have been paying the price every since.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Bortles has been hanging out with Matt Jones too much last offseason/weekdays and its going to cost him his career

Anybody notice what happens to Bortles stats when there is no garbage time and prevent defenses?
