Say La V?  LOL.

This was inevitable I think; with the record that Gus has established here and for himself this had to happen. I regret that someone who is as positive and (at least seemingly) such a nice guy as Gus has to hit the street, but that's the nature of the NFL; it's a production based business and what Gus was producing wasn't what was wanted here. Was it all Gus's fault? Obviously not; but when you decide to wear the HC hat there's a big chunk of accountability that comes with it, and this is a part of it.

Good luck to you Gus, wherever you go to next.

Thank God. Should have happened after last season, or the Chargers game, or the Titans game, but yeah, better late than never.

He still gets paid his full contract

Quote:We need to put pressure on the local media to also get rid of Caldwell.  Why Dave is getting another chance to hire a head coach is crazy in my opinion.  Dave needs to go too.

Talent is here and coaching isnt. Coaching allowed Blake who looked like a future franchise QB last year to revert his mechanics to his college days which was his knock coming out.

I was down to see Dave go but theres a lot of talent on this team. If he can get a cosch that can fix Blake we're right in thick of things with TEN as the team that will run this division for a long time.

Prediction: Gus becomes DC for some team next year or the following year and the defense looks amazing leaving Jag fans shaking their heads.

????  LOL.  OK...

I mean, I know how nice it is to get fired right before Christmas.  It totally puts everyone at ease...

Are you serious????  FBT with the classic ownership apologist reaction...

I can believe today was the deciding factor to fire Gus.

You are giving Gus too much credit on his losses, he's officially 14-48 now, after today's meltdown loss.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:If I had as much money as Gus does, it wouldn't bother me a bit. He had to know it was coming in the very near future. Now, he can relax and spend the holidays with his family and he doesn't have to game plan for the next match up, (not like he did that before either.)

It's not really about the money. It's about job security. He knew he was going to get fired and I'm sure he was bummed about it. But to get canned before Christmas is pretty demoralizing.

Might be. Some guys just aren't cut out for the HC job but excel at a coordinator position.

I think they knew weeks ago, but kept him as long as they did purely because they don't think anyone else on the staff is the guy going forward.
