OFFICIAL/CONFIRMED: Bradley Fired

Quote:Easy, now. Easy does it.

Naw... It's time to let it all out.

It's time for catharsis.

It's not time to pay respect for an owner that decided to [BLEEP] can a terrible coach right before Christmas.  This coach should have been fired MONTHS ago.

It's great that he's fired.  But we wasted an entire season because of Shart Con.

So no.  It's time to just let it all out.  [BLEEP] that owner.  What kind of hard hearted peice of [BLEEP] fires someone right before Christmas???

Shart Con and his idiot kid should kick rocks right now.  They don't get a thank you from me.  Those morons are so inept they don't even know how to fire a fool!!!

Quote:These guys not only firing him while in texas but then acting like theyre doing him a favor for giving him time for christmas should let you know that our trouble is sooooo far from over

Absolutely. Dave Caldwell needs to fire himself and John Oehser needs to do the same.

I think Fisher's firing began the domino effect and put pressure on Khan and Caldwell not to fall to far behind on the coach search.

If fisher wasn't fired or the Jags won today IMO Bradley stays for the rest of the season.
Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

The questions becomes....why now? Why not last season? Or anytime before?

I said it was obvious he wouldn't be a good HC at the end of this first season...but whatever...he's gone now.

The real work begins.  Caldwell or whoever is GM better not screw up the next hire!

Great day to move forward in Jags nation.

If Khan lets Caldwell pick the next HC, we will be in the same boat in 4 years, except there will be 2 people fired.

Its a real clear lack of awareness to life in general, how out of touch can you possibly be?

"Yeah we figured firing him would give him time with his family" what in the world?

If they can see theres a problem with that combined with the lack of decency in firing him and making him ride on the team plane, why does anyone feel confident they have any intelligence to run a football team. Were still [BLEEP]

Quote:It's not really about the money. It's about job security. He knew he was going to get fired and I'm sure he was bummed about it. But to get canned before Christmas is pretty demoralizing.

Well then he can apply for unemployment if he wants and that way he will keep getting some kind of check until he finds another job. He may not get approved though, but I have no doubt a positive guy like Gus will be able to find another job.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

I think Dave learned his lesson. I believe he's going to aim for the fences with his next coach.

All wishful thinking obviously.

I don't know if Dave learned anything. The guy gets WAAAAAAAAAAAAY more credit than he deserves. You should be drafting Jalen Ramsey's in the top 5. You shouldn't be praised for it.

Again, it's not about the money. I'm sure the guy is sitting on millions. It's the simple fact that you're jobless right before Christmas. It's a mental thing. There was no point firing him on an away game with 2 pointless games left.

Gus will be collecting $250 unemployment a week and eating that gov't cheese.

He took Ngakoue round 3. Took Telvin rd 5. Took Linder rd 3. Got Hurns as a UDFA. Found Big Roy and Marks when they busted on their first team, etc.

Im not HUGE on Caldwell but there is a solid base of talent here. Coaching is what the problem is. Caldwell has had misses sure, but all GMs do. Even GMs who are considered elite like Ozzie Newsome from baltimore. Check his last few drafts...

[Image: jaguarsb_logo.gif] Jaguars fire HC Gus Bradley: A Grade
Gus Bradley was expected to be fired at the end of the season, but Jacksonville's owner decided that enough was enough after the Jaguars blew yet another game. They were up 13-5 at the end of the first half, but Tom Savage torched Bradley's defense, mounting a comeback in what would end up being Bradley's final game.

Bradley finishes 14-48 as head coach of the Jaguars. That's obviously horrible. Bill Belichick could go 0-16 for the next 17 years, and he would still have a better winning percentage than Bradley. I don't actually know if that's true or not, but it sounds about right.

Bradley is obviously not a good head coach. His team was a no-show in some games this year, and after one of them, Bradley tried to make offensive coordinator Greg Olson the scapegoat even though Olson happened to be the best coach on the staff. The firing made no difference, and it actually made Blake Bortles regress.

Firing Bradley is obviously the right move. However, I'm giving this an "A" instead of an A+ because general manager David Caldwell's incompetence didn't give Bradley much of a chance. I'll get into it more when Caldwell is inevitably fired, but his decision to select Blake Bortles at No. 3 overall in the 2014 NFL Draft instead of Khalil Mack has absolutely crushed this franchise. No coach ever had a chance with Bortles, who doesn't care about his professional career whatsoever. Still, Bradley had to go.

Gus got extended. Gus will get paid for doing nothing again next year.
