Even though the guy just said it in front of the media for everyone to see, I'm sure your side is 100% right.

Sorry if not everyone has a pessimistic and depressing life.

The sorry people are those who do have a pessimistic and depressing life. It is bad for your health to live like that.

Who said what in front of the media?

Quote:I like TC, but I fear Is Coughlin the old girlfriend you dumped years ago and sometimes you wish you didn't.

The old memories of this girl makes you want her. Then you decide to Facebook her, go on a few dates and pretty soon your back into a full on relationship with her.

Then about 6 months into the relationship you remembered why you dumped her. She's not what you remembered. So you want to dump her again but you got her pregnant and you're stuck being a baby daddy.

Coughlin is like the old girlfriend you dumped but went out, upgraded significantly, and banged Brad Pitt for the past 4,382 days (or 12 years).

Quote:Watched the Caldwell presser finally, just reinforces the whole "Caldwell may have liked Gus, but wasn't "his" guy" view that some were saying. Pretty blatantly said Gus wasn't "his" guy immediately.

It's a moot point, just saying.

Oh...

I think my quote says all you need to know. He was the pick of the group. Caldwell isnt alone on who we picked. If you want to sit here and hold a pitchfork go ahead and keep doing it. Dont keep whining about people that actually look at whats being said instead of think up all of these conspiracy theories.

Of course he probably liked Gus, most did including most of this fanbase. That doesnt mean he was Caldwells top guy.

Oh...

Obviously hes going to say that if he was just forced to hire the guy.. Hes not going to come out saying "yeah hes alright I didn't want him but Khan did. So we took him"

But the same could be said to what he is saying now and he could be playing us

we will never know.

Oh...

What would you suggest he say?

"Gus wasn't my first choice but he's the best we managed to get in the building and Khan likes him so we went with it."

I mean, if what Caldwell said at his presser wasn't true than he just threw Shad and Tony seriously under the bus by saying it was all on them for hiring Gus.

Considering his job is already on the hot seat, I wouldn't say that's a smart decision...especially when they both are above you management wise.

By all means, you can keep on embarrassing yourself all you want by keeping on.

The only conspiracy is trying to twist his words to mean something other than he intended.

All he said was he didn't personally know Gus or have any ties to him when he was hired.  He also said he'd consider hiring someone he had no ties to the next time as well.

Odd how you are characterizing my being honest and objective.  It's you attacking me and my stance, and not the other way around.  I guess the truth is driving you a bit batty, since it doesn't quite fit what you're trying to sell.

Talk about conspiracy theories... you have no idea how ridiculous you truly sound.

Agreed.

I'm not doubting Dave didn't like Gus in plenty of ways. What I am saying though is I don't think he was "his" guy.

I'm attacking your stance? Are you serious?

Every thread I post in you come in and bring this discussion back up after it ended yesterday. GTFO with that.

Yeah, my way is a conspiracy theory and your idea that Gus was Caldwell's guy all along with all the evidence pointing that it isn't true is sound logic.

What's the next conspiracy theory... Bortles wasn't his QB, either?

pirkster your blaming cdub for twisting Daves words but your twisting what question was asked. He was asked if he would be ok with hiring a coach he wasn't comfortable with and he said yes. He wasn't asked if he would be ok with hiring a coach he wasn't familiar with.

I would normally say that is not true.  However Khan wanted tebow and had he chose here as well as Blackmon.   So that could be a possibility. And why he is not currently on the hot seat.
