Michelle Obama - "Feels like we don't have hope now"

This is so very true... especially at my age, but it applies to pretty much anyone 21+.

Life choices are far more plentiful If born into lots of money though.

It's just frustrating hearing so much pettiness and sadness this year about our Country. We've been through a lot worse. A lot worse. And for her to come out and say we've lost hope is just petty. How could you say that our Country has lost hope after your husband just ran our Country for the past eight years as the first African American to be elected in our Nation's history?

How can you be sad when you just had a woman for the first time a few votes away from becoming the first woman in our nation's history to become president? Where do you see the hope fleeting away to? Because I don't see it. By 2020 there's a good chance another woman may emerge and very well win the title.

After all the bloody history our country has endured. After all the hate and bigotry that our ancestors had to tolerate and suffer. After the events of the Great Depression, the Civil Rights movement, 9/11, etc. You really think we've never lost hope and had it restored before? Life goes on. It's been far hopeless in the past than it has been this year.

I'm looking forward to Biden airing some of Michelle's dirty laundry during the 2020 DNC primaries.

Yes, so? The choice to study and finish school, get and keep a job, don't have kids before you're married/ready, refrain from crime and jail...none of those take being born into money, but doing them will bring it.

There are plenty of people still struggling that did all of that.

Not true.  Most millionaires are first generation.  They started with nothing and built it on their own.

To add to that, the fortunes they build are likely to be squandered merely a generation or two later (because those inheriting it didn't learn how it was earned.)

I'm not surprised.  Every election is an "us versus them", "Good versus evil", "We're all going to die if those guys win" hysteria filled festival of nonsense.

The Brookings institute's study showed that people who graduate high school, keep a job, and don't have kids before marriage have less than a 2% poverty rate.

I said what I said. Not what you inferred and if you can't see that the emboldened nature of the those I brought up than you are the one not paying attention.

Some, but not nearly as many as those who didn't. Not everyone gets to be a winner, but good choices up the odds considerably.

They aren't emboldened, the media just has reason to report them instead of suppressing them. Gotta stack the deck for their team ya know.

Are you saying it's the media's fault that scummy people are acting more openly scummy. Or that the media shouldn't point out scummy people acting scummy.

You, Moochelle, and any other extreme leftist upset over the election are out of touch and haven't brought yourselves back to reality.

"And 'optimistic' might be an understatement. According to the latest report, in some cases, Americans are the most hopeful they have been in more than a decade."
Of course the silly lib had no answer to facts. I noticed how fast she shut up about it.

On to the next brainwashed bill of lies she has been fed for so long.

Not that I expected anything less from her.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

The media didnt sensationalize the evnts when it would damage the Left. Instead they tried to frame it with bull [BLEEP] like "the gentle giant" and "hands up, dont shoot" to protect their boy. Now they blow up everything in an effort to taint Trump, to their detriment it seems, as more and more of these acts are proven to be fraudulent.

Quote:really couldn't agree more with Michelle. we have no hope now. WW3 with Russia is now unlikely.  with Hillary it was at least possible. now its not gonna happen. very sad.  we needed that war to destroy at least 1/3 of the world's population. bummer

hopefully before Trump gets in Obama can start something with Russia. after all Russia hacked emails. the obvious response is to drop bombs.  mess with my email? we bomb people. obvious answer to the problem.

Well, the scum are getting their fair share of media to be honest.  Protesting Trump, crying about the Electoral College, burning churches, assaulting Trump supporters.  The usual scum.
