I think unless we get an undeniably good HC, this team will not attract good free agents. There had been a lot of hype with this team, especially this past off season. We managed to get some good signings, on the basis of what the Jaguars were becoming. Well, the facade is over now. This team, along with its coaches, have been busted. Too many holes, regressions, etc. Who wants to come to JAX, who are now in yet another rebuild? We certainly aren't any sexier than last year.

We have had Gus Bradley as HC the last four years...

  Thanks for your efforts with this.

 

  Even though we disagree on some NFL players and prospects in general at times,  which is more than fine,   I really enjoy reading your takes.

 

  When it comes to rating players in a draft,  even the top NFL people are going to miss on some.

 

  Character concerns probably led to Thomas Rawls not being drafted.   Yet,  with a deep RB draft class,   he probably wouldn't have gone before the mid rounds at the earliest if he didn't have any red flags.

 

  Ameer Abdullah was performing at a high level early this season before going down with a foot injury that landed him on I.R.  

 

  It will be interesting to see how long Jay Ajayi's career is going to last.   But for now,  he certainly has provided the Dolphins with tremendous draft and overall value this season.   

 

  The Cardinals certainly have received great value for David Johnson,  who arguably is a top 5 all around NFL RB.

In both cases, we went with a different player in the same position (Bortles/Yeldon), while using a higher pick than the one used to take those guys. To me, there is a different between missing on one player to take another who plays a different position. 

 

But taking the wrong player at the same position?

There will be a plethora of WRs. I think we could still add one. I think we need some speed.

 

Ginn Jr, Pryor, D. Jack  are the guys I would look at.

 

Numerous OL guys to go get as well. No reason to think our Oline is good to go, so we should look at RT and G (even if we plan to draft these positions)

TJ Lang, Johnathan Cooper, Larry Warford all OGs under 30

RT is less youthful but still has some talent to pick from like Don Barclay and Andre Smith

 

I'd like to see us let go of Cyp and sign Tony Jefferson for our SS spot.

Not sure if AZ lets him go.

 

There are a lot of LBs and DBs that will be available. Surely we'll be able to replace Skuta & House

 

And if the Phins let Dion Sims go, I'd like to take a look at him for our TE group (If JT is released)

This is the NFL. If Adolph Hitler threw the ball like Tom Brady, some team would give him a lot of money. Off the field issues are always secondary to overall talent in the NFL. Many teams are always willing to take chances on guys with off the field issues and some teams even seem to go out of their way to give "problem guys" another chance. Andy Reid has done that for several players. Le'Veon Bell is one of the top 3 RB's in the NFL and is highly coveted. If the Steelers don't give him the big $$$, you'd better believe some other team will.
