even if it was not the championship, the bowl games used to have more meaning, now its pretty much national championship or bust.

Well then can you at least support why it's wrong? Instead of just attempting to prove you understand logic? Hence why I say Saban is partially correct in his assumption. There is not a clear "A" therefore "B"

Why is winning the Outback Bowl 5 years ago so much more significant than winning it now? Either way, neither team is the National Champion.

Coaches jump ship all the time after the regular season and miss the bowl games. No one blinks an eye. Players do it, and so many chastise. It's ridiculous.

I don't think this decision should (or will) hurt these 2 players. If they were playing for the national championship, that would be a different story. On the other hand, I believe Delvin Cook improved his draft stock by deciding to play.
