Apples to oranges. Texans are about to blow it up. Jaguars are building.

Regardless, in neither case did the players tank it for draft position.

Everyone here does realize that the Texans haven't drafted Bridgewater yet, right?

Quote:Tonight is Teddy overreaction time. Miami's pass defense is terrible. Slow down. Making some good throws. But slow down. - Pete Prisco

If Pete Prisco really said that, he needs to explain how you can tell the difference between a terrible pass defense and an elite quarterback.

Quote:..... ha !!!   this is almost funny that we're going through the same thing again with the same debate.   Next up, a few meaningless wins next year that allows Tennessee to get Jameis Winston.

Get ready, I'd expect it.

But as its happening, we'll hear about how were developing some winning culture.

We may not ever get a franchise QB, but golly gee we have our dignity and a developing culture of winning.

Quote:The people wanting Clowney or Barr and a QB purgatory prospect later in the draft are being awfully quiet tonight eh?

People who want Clowney are assuming there is zero chance the Texans do not pick Bridgewater, which is not true at this point.

They also are totally ignorant of the fact that Clowney publicly admitted he is a slacker is practice. Enough said - I don't want a guy like that.

By trading up to #1 with a division rival...ain't happening. Our best chance of it happening is the Texans somehow winning and the Redskins losing, and maybe we can trade to #1 w/ the Rams. That's like a 2% chance of happening.

You know, Pete Prisco thought Blaine Gabbert and Christian Ponder could be the next big thing in the NFL. At the same time, he *shat* on Tebow and Manziel every chance he gets. I advise you take his QB evaluation with a grain of salt.

It wasnt a lineman that sacked him on the safety, it was a DB who came from 10 yards back on a blitz

As a Jags fan, and witnessing what I have these past 3 or 4 years, yes - it absolutely does have that feel.

The obvious difference is that the Colts had targeted him since the Manning injury and deliberately tanked an entire season to get their guy. The Texans don't even have their coaching staff in place yet.

So they knew Keenum was a better option than a Schuab in a bad slump? Keenum was never a better option, ever, and they knew it. It would be like us starting Matt Scott....for what?

No chance Caldwell trades up to #1 for Teddy if the Texans want him too. They will quickly tell him, "Sorry, we are taking Teddy no matter what picks you offer."
