As long as we're drooling over undersized but accurate QBs, couldn't we try to draw Kellen Moore away from the Lions?

Houston is not gonna give us a franchise QB, they would trade with another team, we are in the same division

Nope, I'm not vagrantwade.

I'll tell it like it is, though.

Theres a difference between wanting the Texans to be successful and seeing the moves they are/ will be making and predicting their success based on those moves.

If I had my way, the Texans would have hired Wade Phillips for head coach to a 5 year deal,

The Colts would have kept Caldwell

and Tennessee would keep Munchak for 10 more years...

Only problem is that we were co conspirators in our own demise.

Smith gave Seattle Earl Thomas and Russell Wilson. The same draft we gave Seattle Wilson, we gave Philly Foles.

Quote:By trading up to #1 with a division rival...ain't happening. Our best chance of it happening is the Texans somehow winning and the Redskins losing, and maybe we can trade to #1 w/ the Rams. That's like a 2% chance of happening.

If the Texans win and the Redskins lose, we are still #3. Most board members (including me) want the Redskins to win so we will be #2 if we lose tomorrow. The benefit of being #2 is we don't risk the chance of being leapfrogged by the Browns, who have extra picks and need a quarterback, if the Rams want to trade down to #5.

Where is Gene Smith now?

TMD was for tanking, then he was for "culture of winning" concept. Now...whaddaya know....he's flip flopping back to the "we should have tanked" mantra.

The biggest flip flopper on the board.

Ohh so are you suggesting we should tank the final game of the season? The irony...

I was more referring to the 2 out of nowhere collapses by AFCS teams that ultimately would re-load/ set up those 2 teams for the next decade.

Well, them and the Colts will be volleying it back and forth.

For the purposes of this discussion, his current whereabouts are immaterial.

I'll still take clowney all day and manziel in the second it'll be like when we reached for gabbert over Kerrigan and texans got the all pro de it's going perfect that he is having a good game so we get the actual top prospects.

Was for them winning when it appeared they might have won out. Had I known it would have ended with a 3 game losing streak, what was the point? All it did was cost us Bridge and more importantly give him to a division rival. Its hard not to get caught up in your team winning and want more of it. You're chastising me for that??? But in the end, the people that held their ground for tanking the whole way, were right.

The tankers, and my first instinct - lose to get the top pick was the correct move.

Now we do, but he already caused the damage before he got the boot.

No I'm not. I see no chance of winning tomorrow without a miracle. Last time we had Cecil Shorts and got blown out. This time, we go on the road without #84. It would be a huge upset to beat the Colts tomorrow.

If Manziel is an 'actual top prospect' then how the hell are we going to get him in the 2nd round? 'Actual top prospect' QBs don't fall.
