Dalvin Cook wants to be a Jaguar! Bring him on!
|
"Foreman announced last month that he intends to enter the draft as an underclassman. The quote from the scouting director came before I finished by draft profile for Foremen. I was interested in checking out his pass protection, as I already have my opinions on him as a runner (mostly positive). Sure enough, the tape showed a lack of aggression in his approach as a blocker and he rarely seemed to look for work when no blitzers were in sight.
While I think he has the ability to catch the football, he wasn't very productive as a pass-catcher at Texas and if teams don't trust him to handle protection duties, then his stock could suffer, especially in potentially running back-rich draft." I don't hear where he says he wants to be a Jaguar in that video.

I have mine, you have yours, other people have theirs. Just because one guy says it, doesn't make it so. I know he wasn't productive as a pass catcher in college, because he was rarely targeted. If given the chance, I believe he could be fine. What I look for is a guy who can carry this team on his back as an every down runner like Adrian Peterson or Ezekiel Elliott. I see that kind of runner in Foreman. That's 95% of what I'm looking for in a RB. Quote:Again, that's one guys opinion. I have mine, you have yours, other people have theirs. Running is not the only thing a running back needs to be judge on for the Jags.
Quote:Keep the yards. Cook from scrimmage is withing 50 yards and a TD from Foreman against far better defenses before the orange bowl. Cook is the better talent and it's not like he is a 1 year wonder. PS you can't away someone long run when he's been a threat to take it to the house at any point on the field for 3 years now. That is your opinion. I believe Foreman is the far better talent with more NFL value. I believe he is the best overall player in the draft. He and Elliott are the best runners I've seen since Adrian Peterson. I'd then rank Fournette #2, Perine #3 and even if you eliminated all the alarming character issues from Cook's past, I'd still only rank him as the #4 RB in this class. He'd be #5 if I knew for sure that Chubb would be back to 100%. I guess we'll have to wait for a few years to see who ends up being the best NFL RB (if Dalvin Cook can keep from committing any more crimes.) We show less advertisements to registered users. I want a guy I can trust to stay out of trouble as well. I'm not convinced Cook won't be in prison within the next 5 years. He has some major character issues that shows me he isn't very smart.
Quote:Well, it sounds like you're the second coming of John Paul II since you're so morally superior. A mistake is drinking too much and not having the judgement not to drive. A mistake is getting caught with weed. I've made plenty of mistakes in my life. Everybody has. Intentionally causing harm to another living being for no purpose what so ever is a major character flaw. I don't have that and the vast majority of humans don't either. Apparently Cook does. You need to recognize the difference between mistakes and character flaws. Some people classify every sick and twisted act out there as a mistake. Not everything is a mistake. Quote:And lets be honest, that's why you don't like Cook. Absolutely it is. What other reason would I have not to like him? I've never met him. I'm not saying he isn't a great football player. He is. I just don't think he's the best in the NCAA or even in the top 3, but he's very talented. I just think his character flaws far outweigh his benefits, especially when there are other, better options out there with real character. Quote:Did he cause harm to another human being? Yep. He clearly was let off the hook for that assault charge because he's the star player. It's all one big conspiracy. Quote:Absolutely it is. What other reason would I have not to like him? So heavily drinking then driving your car and endangering tons of road users and pedestrians is a simple mistake but getting in a fight at a bar or not having puppies chained up correctly is a huge character flaw?
Quote:Did he cause harm to another human being? I said, another living being. That isn't just humans. There is that incident with the girl though, that you seem to totally dismiss. That seemed to cause harm. Quote:I said, another living being. That isn't just humans. There is that incident with the girl though, that you seem to totally dismiss. I didn't dismiss it because I can't judge because we'll it would just be an opinion and you know the thing about opinions.
Quote:So heavily drinking then driving your car and endangering tons of road users and pedestrians is a simple mistake but getting in a fight in a bar is a huge charcter flaw that makes you undraftable? No. When you drink and drive, you lose judgement from the alcohol. You don't intend to cause harm. You may be stupid, but you're not evil. If you are a repeat offender, then you would be undraftable though. When you assault a woman or chain up puppies until they can't move and choke, that is intentional and it only takes one offense to show that you have a character flaw. That would make you undraftable in my eyes. |
