Lol. Negligence to puppies is more heinous than drunk driving, where the drunk driver could potentially kill someone.

Wow.

I did too. One of my best friends in high school was killed by a drunk driver. He was killed by another kid I knew. The driver didn't mean to cause my friend harm. He paid for his mistake and had to live with what he did. It ended up ruining him. He was never able to forgive himself and he ended up overdosing in his mid 20's.

Quote:Oh yes. The incident with that girl where he was acquitted of all wrong doing.

Acquitted doesn't mean he didn't do it. It just means they couldn't prove it.

Wow.
Continuing your narrative of "it's not as bad, so who cares" I see. Just like with the "What he did to the animals weren't as bad as Mike Vick, so..."

Quote:There is no facts to back up the evidence he did hurt another human being. I didn't dismiss it because I can't judge because we'll it would just be an opinion and you know the thing about opinions.

Again, you aren't paying attention. "Another living being" can be any living thing, human or non-human.

Even though he killed someone, he's probably still a nicer person than a guy who tightens a leash on a dog too tight.

Eye witnesses say he didn't do anything either. I would say read the police report, but you probably just listen to what ESPN tells you.

If you expect me to throw my morals out the window and sign every scumbag off the street, just because he might help out team win more games, you'll be waiting a very, very, very long time.

You can really tell who is all in on FSU players regardless of what has been brought up on them. BigJohn I think leads the pack though."Put a chain on their neck a little too tight, big deal." GTFO with that.

Quote:No. When you drink and drive, you lose judgement from the alcohol. You don't intend to cause harm. You may be stupid, but you're not evil. If you are a repeat offender, then you would be undraftable though. When you assault a woman or chain up puppies until they can't move and choke, that is intentional and it only takes one offense to show that you have a character flaw. That would make you undraftable in my eyes.

Just to play devils advocate wasn't he drunk at the bar when got into a scuffle with a women? ( that he has since been cleared of) I've been on enough nights out to know that when a woman says she got hut it isn't always as clear cut as a guy just punching her in the face.

I don't expect you to throw your morales out the window, but I expect you to remove opinions. If you knock him for the treatment of dogs then that your deal and that's all you got. Has he repeated the issue that happened almost 2 years ago? No. When you look at what they've done over their college careers it's Cook by a mile.

I read it was outside the bar. Since he was underage, I assumed he was never actually inside the bar. I never read anything that indicated if he was drinking or not.

You might want to apply that to some of the brilliant things you've shared with us in this thread.

It's not just one thing. He's been around problems all of his life.

Like I said, maybe he's just been in the wrong place at the wrong time for all these other incidents besides the one with dogs (piece of crap for doing that though), but there's character concerns here without a doubt.

Maybe he should have just driven drunk and killed someone. That, apparently, is child's play compared to negligence to animals.

Morally, I can't root for someone who did what he did. Opinions and morals go hand in hand. If you don't believe in the same things I do, then you will have a completely different view of things, but with what I believe, I can't separate my opinion from my morals. Whether or not he's done it again or been caught doing it again, is of no consequence. He did it once and that shows me he has something wrong with him. I don't want him, because morally I find him reprehensible.
