Adams or Hooker?
|
Finally saw more of Adams and he's gotta be in play at 4. Dude just has a nose for the football and brings it every play. I think I have a slight preference for Hooker but either way I'm happy. One of them, Garrett, or Allen and I'll be stoked.

Quote:If we dont switch to 2 deep, would you rather have Hooker and Cyp or Gipson and Adams?? I would draft Hooker and DEFINITELY switch to a cover 2. You have to adjust to the talent you get. Adams is good, but there is no way I draft him at #4. That spot should be for elite players. Hooker is elite.

Quote:cover 2 takes away from the strengths of Ramsey. He'll adjust. Besides, it plays to the strengths of Hooker and as good as Ramsey has been, I believe Hooker can be even better. He reminds me of Earl Thomas. Imagine a guy like that in the secondary with Ramsey. Quote:He'll adjust. Imagine a guy like that in the secondary with Ramsey. If he's like Earl Thomas then his talents would be better utilized in a single-high set - if he is any where close to being rangy like Thomas. To be fair though, Earl Thomas would thrive in ANY scheme and I would rather have Ramsey playing press-man on the outside.
Quote:I wouldn't be surprised to see Chicago take HookerIf they dont take a QB I agree. It would be a bit of a reach to take a safety with the 3rd pick but that has been a position of need for them for many years. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
The value of an elite Defensive lineman outweighs my need for a safety. I don't care if he's Polamalu or Dawkins, I'm taking the Defensive lineman. The Jaguars don't have the best safety situation, and upgrade is needed there. I would welcome a player like Hooker at Free Safety and he seems like he could be a special Player, I just prefer building around the pass rush first because you can disguise average or bad secondary play. I'm also really tired of watching QB's walk around unpressured every week.
Quote:I wouldn't be surprised to see Chicago take Hooker I'd be shocked if the Bears passed on Allen. Quote:I'd be shocked if the Bears passed on Allen. Yeah same, he fits perfectly with Vic Fangios scheme too.
Currently I see...
1) Cleveland - Myles Garrett 2) San Fran - Jonathan Allen 3) Chicago - Malik Hooker 4) Jacksonville - Williams/Barnett/Cook We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

For the love of god finally someone who's making sense, give me a disruptor on the defensive line over ANY safety "prospect". I don't care how good of a prospect Adams or Hooker is, you don't take a safety over an elite defensive linemen. Neither guy is in play at 4 because David Caldwell isn't an idiot.

I'm also really tired of watching QB's walk around unpressured every week. That's dumb logic. We have a top 3 pick in Fowler and a rookie in Ngakoue who set a franchise sack record for us. It's a top 5 scheme in a very vanilla defense to the point that we don't even realize how dominant these guys can really be. What you're saying is no different than reaching for the best available QB at the top of the draft because you can. Defensive ends aren't guaranteed sure things themselves. Take the best player no matter what.
Both would be good picks.
