I've been watching football without beer today.

I don't recommend it.

Did they make you extend your pinky finger while tipping that pint glass?

Granted, I previously riffed on craft beers because I thought many were too cutesy tasting. I still think that. However, the spate of stouts that have come out on the market in the last year are mostly good, although I've had a couple of those that were too cutesy as well. Admittedly, the stouts have tempered my judgement.

I was in Denver last month and played at a fundraiser that featured a 'brew-fest' showcasing a couple dozen regional brewer's wares.

I'm almost ashamed to admit that I really liked the "Nitro-Vanilla-Porter"

Still. You won't get me near anything that says 'pumpkin spice" on the label.  :teehee:

Not in my immediate area. For me, it's more like the streets become one lane.

Donner Pass closed due to a huge mudslide though. Yosemite is also closed, and the Napa and Merced rivers have both jumped their banks.

We have another storm incoming now.

Hopefully we're moving in from the IPA craze.

Amen. That's partly what drove my disdain for craft beers. Mild IPAs are okay, but then the hops craze began to infect everything, it seemed. I like hops, but to a point. Some of these IPAs will scald the tastebuds off a tongue.

We've had our first car swept to sea in Pismo.

(They're ok)

So I just finished my ninth year of walking 5.2 miles (almost) every morning.  On a conservative estimate of missing one day a week per year, which rarely happens, I’ve now walked (at least) 14,040 miles and 28,350,000 steps.

I’m not sure what that means but it is supported by lots of numbers.

That deserves a plane ticket to get back home.

Big deal...my truck has 108,000 miles on it, and I only have to take about 10 steps out of my house to get to it.

How many steps/miles is that to a pair of shoes? We go to Disney a lot and I'm going through a pair about every other month. Im not significantly overweight, but they just aren't lasting as long these days.

How often do you go to Disney if you're killing a pair of shoes in two months??
