What is best for Bortles in this draft?

#1

Now that we've hired Marrone, I'd fairly certain we are sticking with Bortles for another season, so which draft picks would give him the best chance of succeeding?

I think we're fairly set at WR and TE (although if we say goodbye to Thomas, that could change).

So should we take advantage of another strong RB class to draft someone early who can drag our running game out of the gutter?

What about help on the Oline?

And does drafting a QB help him?

And who do you have in mind?

O-line for sure.  I expect us to be aggressive in FA but they definitely should draft some day 2 and day 3 also.

I'm not opposed to a RB early, but O-line is going to help Bortles and everyone on offense.

If Fournette is 100%, draft him and fix the oline with signing Zeitler and find at least 1 or 2 gus in the draft

Fixing the running game should be the number 1 priority

I like this - we can learn a lot from the Titans success in this department.

Fixing the running game should do wonders for Bortles development. That means getting a feature RB and fixing the O-Line. Unfortunately, I have no confidence that we will address these needs.

O LINE, O LINE, O LINE…..

Fix this and we will be able to throw and run the ball with great success. Just look at the Cowboys.

Sign one lineman (preferably Wagner), draft one lineman (preferably Feeney), and draft any of Kamara, Gallman, Hood, Perine, Connor, etc later in the draft.

Really, really, really don't need to waste the #4 pick on a RB to fix the running game.

I feel like I like Gallman more than others.

You think we're set at TE?  In the passing game, TE has been a complete afterthought ever since Marcedes got paid 8 years ago.  This is a problem.

We can draft one of those too, this is a really good and very deep TE class.

Calvin Cook with the first pick and as many OL as they can.

O-line help. You can find good RB value in the middle rounds.

I think Sterling is a sleeper waiting to produce at the "move TE" if  Julius Thomas doesn't return to form.

I also think there are some good mid-round/late-round blocking TEs in this draft.  Jeremy Sprinkle being the one I'd target.

Hood went back, iirc.

Changed his mind, thankfully. Really solid prospect.
