draft position

Quote:Houston - Teddy - Clowney

St Louis - Matthews - Matthews

Jaguars - Clowney?  Barr?  Bortles? - Teddy

Or thats at least what I am hoping for.

That's the dream scenario.

Lets assume Teddy is as good as most on this board think.  We'll probably have to trade up to get him.  There will be a slew of teams picking right behind us needing a QB.  Knowing we'd take Teddy, St Louis is in an ideal spot to trade down if somehow the Texans take someone else 1st overall.

Then there is always the chance Teddy isnt as good as we think.  Maybe he has some personality issues like Geno did that sends him down draft boards.

That second pick is the most fluid.

It might be tempting for the Rams to deal down to Cleveland and still get Matthews while the Browns could land their QB.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

You better hope Clowney continues to be a slacker in practice and get speeding tickets if they do pick him.

OR we could just not win some meanlingless late season game and have first dip at the best available prospect.

Because if he plays at an elite level in Houston, our rookie quarterback will be sacked all day long.

or.....what if they select absolutely anyone else, and that player plays at an elite level. What if in free agency they sign Tim tebow and he becomes a god at the QB position? (Ps don't reply with something like "either you have been living under a rock or you're really stupid because tebow signed a deal with ESPN. I know that. This is all hypothetical.) Or what happens if every single one of their draft picks becomes the best player at their position to ever play the game? You can't stop other teams from drafting or signing players. Probability has it that they will hit on someone. Can't worry about what other teams are doing.
