Has the ACC become the top conference in the country?

I'm not a conference rah rah guy by any means, but I saw it mentioned on another forum and felt like this could be an interesting discussion.

The numbers sure indicate that it's possible.

How can they have the bowl records when there are still some bowls left?

I'm guessing someone compiled the records to date.

Meh, I'd rather keep winning NCs. All that conference pride stuff is incredibly lame.

Besides, this stuff is all cyclical, anyway. Next year we could be talking about how dominant the PAC-12 is or hell, the freaking Big 12.

OK Big John....I'll bite.  As a fellow FSU fan, I'll admit it is at least nice to change the conversation and provide statistical evidence that as the previous poster stated, "this stuff is all cyclical."

So, out of respect for the thread, yes, I agree with some of the pundits who say that the ACC is the top conference this year.  With that being said, I'm sticking with my tried and true shtick of rooting for a team and not a conference.

Nothing to see here....these aren't the droids you're looking for,

P.S.  Go Noles!

The ACC is the best conference this year. It benefited from excellent qb play. I think they take a big step back next year. Trubisky, Evans, Watson and Kayaa are all leaving.

Best qb play out of every conference. The talent team for team is def the best this year in ACC. SEC has had Alabama propping them up for years.

Definitely.

The winner and the runner up for the Heisman were from the ACC. They weren't the only ACC players in the top 10 in voting. Only 1 SEC player, Jonathan Allen, was in the top 10.

Clemson finished 1st in all final polls and was joined with FSU in the top 10. Only Alabama cracked the top 10 for the SEC.

The ACC had the best postseason record with 9-3. They went 10-4 against the SEC overall. They had twice as many 9-win teams as the SEC and half the amount of teams with losing records.

The SEC doesn't crack my top 3 conferences. There's nothing at top besides Alabama.
New signature because HIGH SCORE found the periodic table offensive. Pathetic LOL

It is this year.

Better question who is the 2nd best coach in the SEC

Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17
2016 draft players I think will be good
  • On the Fournette train, will be best back of his class 3/6/17
  • Lattimore please,  Lockdowns on both sides would be nice
  • Engram at TE and the MJD clone Samaje Perine
