OK so I think Fournette will be the pick (process of elimination)

Quote:Yeah the Running back list is really really bad:

AP

Mcfadden\

Bush

Ronnie Brown

Spiller

Cadillac Williams

Cedric Benson

Richardson

Basically 1 good player there. Maybe there is someone dumb enough to trade up to 4 to get a QB? Usually I would just assume that Cleveland would want to do something dumb like that but despite going 1-15, I think they are being intelligent in their personnel choices now. The Jets are still stupid right?
Zeke was drafted 4 last year....

Is there a single person here who think Dallas wouldn't be a better team if they stuck with Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris at RB and drafted Ramsey instead?

Mark Barron

Laron Landry

Michael Huff

Donte Whitner

Sean Taylor

Roy Williams

If you are lucky you get an okay player but most of these guys were pretty crappy.
Please take Taylor off your list and don't disrespect him like that. Your post lost all credibility when you put his name in that last of bad picks. Just showed your lack of knowledge to football saying he was "crappy"(although you said "most") when he would of went down as one of the best to ever play the position.

me, the only realistic option that would of made them better is if they took Ramsey in the first and Derrick Henry in the 2nd. Henry would of been a monster behind that oline.

They went from a top 5 4.6 YPC to a top 3 4.8 YPC. Elliot wasn't worth 7.2 inches a carry.

I guess you could use the age factor for reasoning behind selecting Elliot.

Morris is 28, McFadden is 29, Elliot is 21. By selecting Elliot they've solidified the position for hopefully 10 years, while Morris/McFadden only have a couple years left at a high level.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

How would Dallas be a better team by playing Alfred Morris instead of Elliot and playing a below average cornerback for the first 10 games?

No way would they have a better record in that scenario. Ramsey gave up a really high % percentage and QB rating against for most of the year. Don't see how that would help them.

No, he's serious. He said the same thing in the main board before.

Zeke Elliott was a perfect pick for what that team needed.

I think well be talking about more edge rushers than Barnett and Tim when draft time rolls around. Guys rise and fall throughout the process regularly. I remember it was all Bosa and Spence in the beginning, then Shaq lawson shot up and Buckner got mixed in too. It way too early to start cutting out guys in this manner. This is the kind of thing you can do after the combine but not now before the season is even over.

In 2015 the Cowboys were 30th in the NFL in redzone touchdowns with 44.44%. After drafting Elliott, they were ranked 3rd in 2016 with 66.7%. He was a real difference maker.

How much of this has to do with the fact that they were working with no qb and a hobbled Dez.

Buckner and Lawson were always in the mix.

Lawson was definitely not in the mix until much later in the process.

Are there any good NTs in this draft? I like Abry, but if we don't keep him it will be pretty desperate at that important position. Miller may never come back.
