Hackett Named Offensive Coordinator

Let's not act like familiarity won't help him. Hackett knows Bortles strengths and weaknesses and should be able to tailor his offense accordingly. One simple example of that could drastically reduce the learning curve for not only Bortles but for the entire offense would be to use the same terminology that was previously used for like concepts.

Hackett has been here 2 years and Blake actually regressed after 1 year under Hackett. Note: using the same terminology and like concepts also help our competition in scheming their defense against the Jags.
Long as we score and score a lot!!!
If you think I offended you, don't worry, I meant to. #facts
#iamlegend Quote:you sure about that? You're right. They both won one. Uge upgrade he would've been.

Since week 9 under Hackett, the Jags went 1-6 playing against 3 playoff teams and 4 non-playoff teams. Their win was vs a non-playoff team.
Under Hackett, the Jags averaged 20.57 ppg versus the 19.33 ppg they averaged under Olsen. Quote:Since week 9 under Hackett, the Jags went 1-6 playing against 3 playoff teams and 4 non-playoff teams. <p style="text-align:center;">But that same man can get lost in the sauce."
Honestly, I am sooo disappointed with our DC and OC choices. I just keep on trying to tell myself that TC knows what hes doing just to even be excited for the next season to be honest..

"I am excited for Nathaniel and he is very deserving of this opportunity," Bortles said. "He earned the respect of the offensive unit in the second half of the season and we feel like we will continue to progress under his direction. We have been able to form an unbelievable relationship. Nathaniel is who we as an offense want to play for."

Pretty much reiterates a lot of the reasoning in the thread about the logic of going with hackett. The one thing the articles makes apparent that we didn't really know, is that it looks like the hiring choice was marrones decision.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
Quote:At this point, it doesn't even matter anymore. He did improve in one way last season. Less end zone picks, and pick sixes Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster The Home Hypnotist! Media on the Brain Link! Quote:So glad we have the same coaches as we did in week 16-17. We also have the same coaches that we did when Bortles had the 22 yard run for a TD against the Broncos with 14:10 remaining in the 4th Quarter. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2016120405...ab=analyze For us to get rid of the coaches after that play would have been devastating to this franchise. It sounds like some of you are extremely butt hurt.
Have you seen my baseball?

They also managed to score 1 point more on offense per game under Hackett. |
