The Browns could get good real fast

#1

Daniel put out his mock on nfl.com and of course the Browns have 2 first round picks and then they pick again early in round 2.

He has Myles Garrett going number 1 overall. Then he has Dalvin Cook going to the Browns with their 2nd pick in the first round.

I still think they will find a way to draft Watson in round 1. Or they could take Mahommes in the 2nd round.

Here is Daniel's mock

I'll believe it when I see it. They have had two drafts with multiple first-round picks and they have all busted

Their offensive line is terrible. Why would they take a RB when they have such holes on the O-Line? Jeremiah has no idea what he's talking about. Taking Garrett makes sense for them, but I see them taking a QB, probably Kizer with their 2nd pick in round 1, because of his strong arm. The problems with the QB's they have is that they lack the arm strength to handle the strong winds coming off the lake. Kizer and Mahomes have arguably two of the strongest arms in the draft. With their 2nd round picks, I see them adding an O-Linemen and a CB.

Times change, coaches come and go (and come, and go, and come, and go), but one thing remains the same: they're the Browns. The only team that's been a running punchline longer than the Jaguars. When the Browns graduated high school, they were voted "Most Likely to Lose to the Jaguars". I mean, temper your expectations. Last time the Browns had two first-round picks, they walked away with Justin Gilbert and Johnny Boozeball. Fear not, they will not "get good" anytime soon.

Crowell is a good back. They need a lot more help than those two guys. The organization is a mess.

No one wants to play there and no one wants to be part of that organization.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Isn't trubisky from Ohio?

Pretty good odds he winds up a brown.

Agreed. Crowell is one of the better backs in the league on a crap team. Cook wouldn't be any better there.

anyone mocking a running back to the browns is bad at their job straight up. Like thats legitimately just lazy unless they lose crowell somehow.

They'd have to use the #1 overall pick on him though and I can't see them passing on Garrett.

Crowell has done a great job, considering how bad the O-Line has been. Put that guy behind a decent O-Line and he might be a top 5-7 RB in the NFL.

You ever wonder if the Browns draft bad players or if they ruin and waste their talents once they get there? It's one of those chicken before the egg propositions.

I still think the top of that organization is poorly run. I'm not banking on a Browns resurrection any time soon. They will go 2-12 next year and fire the head coach, rinse and repeat.

Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.

Idk. I could see Garrett or trubisky. I could also see them waiting until 12 to try for a QB. Depends who they like....They could always try to move up some as well with that second pick.

They just draft bad players. Gilbert and Manziel were straight up bad at football. Cam Erving just did not work at center at all even though everyone thought he was excellent there.

Predicting their record is impossible right now without seeing their quarterback but I dont see any reason they fire hue besides buying into the same old narrative of impatience but we havent seen much to suggest they want to continue that way.

I think the browns end up with a free agent QB like tyrod and take Garrett and a DB with those two picks.

Their oline really just needs a center, thats the big gaping hole but otherwise it is serviceable. Their good for weapons between Pryor/Coleman/Barnidge/Crowell/Duke

their defensive line would be comprised of Garrett, Nassib, Shelton, and Ogbah(idk whos playing 3t in a base 4-3)

Kirksey at inside linebacker

demario davis at wlb

jamie collins at slb

that just leaves their secondary. Joe Haden fell off pretty hard but hes not the worst thing ever. They need another outside corner and a complete reset of the safety position.

I know what everyone says its the browns theyll

mess up yaya hilarious original joke. QB obviously a large hump for anyone but otherwise everything else is within arms reach of being fixable.

Haden just might be the worst thing ever at this point. Lattimore/White/Humphrey/Wilson/Tabor/Jones/Conley...however that CB shuffle plays out and assuming the top one is already gone I could easily see one at 12.

Is he really that bad now? lol I know hes fell off a cliff compared to 2013 but i dont regularly watch browns games so i didnt know he just wasnt startable. There were reports they were trying to trade him during the season.

Either way this class is pretty solid for both corners and safeties so they can just blow the whole thing up.

I thought prior to him getting hurt, Haden was actually doing well this year. Not elite but pretty good. Had a high PFF grade I think

Do you guys know how cold it gets up there? No human in their right mind willingly moves there, and tackling NFL players in the same emergency frigid conditions seems unpleasant as well. Of course no one wants to go to that cess pool. The only reason they go to Detroit (sorry D6) is because they're afforded the ability to play inside where they might not die from the weather.
