Trump’s Immigration Muslim Ban Excludes Countries With Business Ties

Quote:It's kinda disturbing that only a select few on here are calling out Trump or should I say CHUMP for a not banning the country that had a dozen plus involved in 9/11.
What is so hard to understand here. The countries banned were and have been proponents of terror and ones that we have weak or no foreign relationship with. In addition, these countries have governments in turmoil with no reliable system of processing visas. They have become corrupt. This ban is a temporary measure to ensure there is a reliable and non-corrupt method to ensure people are who they say they are. Will it ever be 100%? No, but it needs clean-up. As President, he has every right under 8 U.S.C. § 1182(f) to do what he is doing.

Saudi Arabia and Pakastan should have been included.

Quote:Should probably pull your head out and research. This graphic is agenda driven and innacurate. First flag I see is whether or not these are on US soil. The ones marked no are mixed on/off soil. So a quick history lesson and google search would show alot missing in those yes areas. Beruit, Benghazi ring a bell? What about unprovoked, yet unsuccessful attacks? Graphic is bunk and misses the point of the temporary ban.
the other misleading or unknown thing is people who were born in those countries  (Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE etc)often migrate to other countries such as Syria and other radicalized countries...So what I'm saying is a person born In those countries who migrated to the radicalized countries are known citizens of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE etc but migrated to other countries...so saying that the terrorists were from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE etc is not correct...Being born in one place and moving around to different countries isn't the same thing as being "from" your birth country

It's worth noting that 6 of the 7 countries  ( Somalia is the exception ) won't even let Israeli passport holders even VISIT their country.  Yet,  there's no outrage with this from the vast majority of individuals that are ripping Donald Trump for his decision, which is far less restrictive.

Has it been said on this thread yet that the 7 countries chosen were highlighted by the Obama administration as most likely to be susceptible to terrorism?  Or are we still going with the Trump business narrative?

Quote:You know exactly which Party represents the old Dixiecrats. Stop playing dumb.
Here's what I know. Progressives still give the hat tip to FDR, the man who appointed the Klan's lawyer to the SCOTUS. Hillary Clinton claimed Robert Byrd, a former Grand Wizard of the KKK, was a mentor to her. Progressives celebrate the noted racist Woodrow Wilson as well. Now look, I think it's real swell that Democrats seem to have come around from the 200 year legacy of racism and Klan association, but that doesn't change where us Conservatives/Republicans have been since 1860. Welcome to the show, better late than never. I know how eager Democrats are to make amends for 200 years of segregation and slavery, so of course I excuse your constant pandering---but don't you think it is a just a little bit condescending to African Americans? Democrats are the party that is hung up race due to your guilt over the past. Conservatives really don't care anymore because we are equals.

Edit: Let's also not forget FDR putting a hundred thousand Asian people into internment camps, but hey if you want to denounce FDR as a hateful bigot, by all means, don't let me stand in your way.

And don't forget.  The organizing principle of the current democratic party is that by and Large Black people are too emotional and too stupid to succeed in the free market.

I think that there is nothing wrong with restricting immigration and strengthening borders.

However, our refugee vetting process is already extremely extensive, and we have no history of people with refugee status causing any issues. I think we should be harboring Syrian refugees still. Those people are facing a Holocaust level event and they have literally nowhere to go.

Our vetting process is so good it didn't even look at Tashfeen Malik's social media before letting her in to commit mass murder in San Bernandino.

ISIS has already said they have integrated themselves into the refugee population. Europe has thrown open their doors to these refugees and they are experiencing horrible terrorism and sexual assaults on their women. These "refugees" are generally not women and children, they are military aged males. If we want to help them, we need to help them in their own country, not bring them here.

Liberals are still going with the false business narrative.

Refugees who were active bomb makers in Iraq have been arrested on American soil.

Create a safe zone and help them that way. That's actually cheaper than taking them as refugees.

You can't vet against nothing. There is no government or intelligence infrastructure in Syria to query against. The head of all our in tell departments acknowledge this.

President Trump is poised to sign an executive order that would suspend all entry to the U.S. from seven Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East, according to a draft proposal obtained by Bloomberg News. His proposed list doesn’t include Muslim-majority countries where his Trump Organization has done business or pursued potential deals. Properties include golf courses in the United Arab Emirates and two luxury towers operating in Turkey.
