Trump’s Immigration Muslim Ban Excludes Countries With Business Ties

Quote:Trying to survive, which is why we are going to build safe zones with our allies in the middle-east for them to be protected. There is no obligation of the US to Syria. However, 0bama's inept administration was directly responsible for destabilizing the region so there is some responsibility there. If me and my family were in that position, I would be looking for options a lot closer to home. Not somewhere halfway around the globe that I have no means to reach.

Quote:The War in Syria is going on 6 years now. By the time these "safe zones" are built how many civilians do you think will be left to save? Most of them. Where else would they be? Europe? Maybe. East Asia? No chance. America? Not bloody likely. Quote:The War in Syria is going on 6 years now. By the time these "safe zones" are built how many civilians do you think will be left to save? When's your plane ticket scheduled to take you there to pitch in? Oh, right... all talk... someone else's sweat and money... never your own...

Quote:Not being scared to allow families in danger asylum in our country is not the same as trying to overthrow a government backed by Russia who has already shown an ambivalence to using chemical weapons on civilians. Syrians prefer Assad over the so-called "moderate" rebels. Tulsi Gabbard went over there and asked local Syrians what they thought, and all they mostly complained about the US funneling arms to "moderates". Tulsi Gabbard Speaks the Truth on Syria, Gets Smeared by the Mainstream Media "I'll tell you what I heard from the Syrian people that I met with walking down the streets in Aleppo, in Damascus," the Congresswoman said. "They expressed happiness and joy in seeing an American walking through their streets, but [asked] a question: Why is it that the United States, its allies and other countries are providing support and arms to terrorist groups like al-Nusra (al-Qaeda), Ahrar al-Sham, ISIS who are on the ground there raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing the Syrian people?" With Tapper insisting that the US only provided assistance for so-called moderate rebels, Gabbard countered, saying that "everywhere I went, every person I spoke to, I asked this question, and without hesitation they said that there are no moderate rebels." ---- Syria is by no means a democracy, nor should it be our position to enforce it to be. However, the issue with Syria right now isn't Assad. It is the rebels we fund. Quote:Not being scared to allow families in danger asylum in our country is not the same as trying to overthrow a government backed by Russia who has already shown an ambivalence to using chemical weapons on civilians. Vetting is not being "scared." Why do you feel vetting is wrong and should not be done? Is it that you haven't put much thought into it and don't understand? Or are you just disagreeing because you hate the people who are for reasonable vetting?
"You do your own thing in your own time. You should be proud."
Quote:Vetting is not being "scared." I am not opposed to vetting and never have been. I am opposed to treating people like criminals before you know their name or story. The rhetoric has not changed. The majority of these people are just looking for acceptance and a chance for a new start. America is more xenophobic today than I ever remember it having been before. As to reasonable vetting, thousands of Syrian refugees have legally come here. They were vetted. Zero incidents. Now we need extreme vetting because.. there may be ISIS infiltrators? We need to cut the number of people coming from there because of what? If we submit to as extreme vetting of these people as Trump wants, can we triple the number we let in? Why not? We will know without question they are who they say they are.

You do realize spouting empty rhetoric like "xenophobic" destroys your entire thought, don't you? Well, you should. That's a [BLEEP] pile of drivel you spewed there. Vetting is how you know the name and story. You don't "pass it before you know what's in it," unless you are an absolute imbecile...

But we do that for illegal aliens as well which I disagree with...I'm not so sure that allowing anyone to legally immigrate to our country who chooses to do, so bring much to our country to make it better...Of course there are exceptions such as Einstein, Oppenheimer and such...
This sums up some feeling I have on the matters during the last few days. This administration is getting chastised for trying to be proactive but a large majority stayed silent when it didn't fit an agenda. Quoted from Justen Charters after speaking with Kris Kyle' Iraqi interpreter.
"To all the anti-Trump protesters who are trying to take the moral high ground, President Obama was in office when genocide was happening in Syria. Assad crossed the 'red line' on multiple occasions, and Obama continued to talk tough but did nothing. Over a quarter of a million people died in Syria during Obama's time in office. He didn't go after Assad. I didn't see a massive crowd of you at the White House protesting. Women, children, dying. Sarin gas attacks, war crimes. Where were you? Where were your signs? When James Foley, Steven Sotloff, Adam Kassig and Kayla Mueller were all murdered by ISIS, where were your candlelight vigils? Where were the huge crowds for the innocents who were killed? I must have missed them. When Boko Haram came through Nigeria like a battering ram and took over village after village, beheading innocents and burning and pillaging, where were you? Were you calling Congress and telling them we can't stand for this? Were you out in the streets in the thousands? I think not. You care about Sudan? Genocide has been taking place on and off again in Sudan since 2003. Did you march against the murders? Did you scream at the top of your lungs for humanity and for Bush or Obama to do something after an estimated 300,000 died? No. And Yemen, since when did you care about Yemen, children having been starving in mass in Yemen for years. Their emaciated bodies, their sunken eyes. I don't recall you marching against those injustices either. Were you out in force when ISIS ran through Iraq and was killing people in the thousands? Beheading families, raping Yazidis, burning people alive. I don't remember an Anti-ISIS protest at the White House at the time. I don't remember thousands showing up for innocently slaughtered Iraqis. But now you're out at the White House, telling people that you care about these people. Doubtful. You're out there right now because it's become popular. You want to be part of the crowd. Too bad you stayed silent when you could have actually made a difference." ![]()
Quote:Obviously most Muslims aren't mass murderers. However, their system of faith in combination with many developing/third-world cultures does lead itself to become more radicalized and violent. You only have to take a quick glance at federal and international terror reports to see that the huge, overwhelming majority of terror attacks (of which there are many across the globe) are performed by Sunni Muslims.Sounds a lot like Christian faith. European colonization and conquest, holy wars, slavery, Zionism, etc etc We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Statement Regarding Recent Executive Order Concerning Extreme Vetting
“America is a proud nation of immigrants and we will continue to show compassion to those fleeing oppression, but we will do so while protecting our own citizens and border. America has always been the land of the free and home of the brave.
We will keep it free and keep it safe, as the media knows, but refuses to say. My policy is similar to what President Obama did in 2011 when he banned visas for refugees from Iraq for six months. The seven countries named in the Executive Order are the same countries previously identified by the Obama administration as sources of terror. To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting.
This is not about religion - this is about terror and keeping our country safe. There are over 40 different countries worldwide that are majority Muslim that are not affected by this order. We will again be issuing visas to all countries once we are sure we have reviewed and implemented the most secure policies over the next 90 days.
I have tremendous feeling for the people involved in this horrific humanitarian crisis in Syria. My first priority will always be to protect and serve our country, but as President I will find ways to help all those who are suffering.”

Quote:Why won't conservatives come out and condemn Trump for violating the Immigration Act of 1972? You mean the law enacted by the UK? Quote:Because there is no such thing. Why won't liberals stop acting like all this is new and consider H.R. 158 and others? You beat me to it. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

I'm all for the allowing opportunity and there are many pieces to the puzzle. In any case, here is an older video on why U.S. immigration cannot solve the world's problems.
