Assuming his medical are good, I'd take Fournette. Might be the best prospect I've seen in 20 plus years at the position. We need a running game to take less of Blakes plate, with a good defense and a solid running game, we could essentially turn Blake into a Alex Smith type qb and be pretty competitive imo.

Lol how embarrassingly low have our expectations fallen that we need to take an RB at 4 in order to help salvage the QB we took at 3 so he can hopefully turn into an Alex Smith type.

What should we do then draft more wr's and run the run and shoot because we drafted a qb high? Bortles isn't Aaron Rodgers, it is what it is. Or we cut bait with Bortles and start over again...

Fournette but would be ok with Adams, I doubt we go edge rusher in the first round unless Garrett falls to us, we invested in DE in Fowler and Yanick, I think we sign a vet pass rusher to go with them.

Nah.  Look at his draft grade at NFL.com.  Granted I don't take that as gospel, but it's clear there's a lot of people that think Fournette is one of the best players in the draft.  Need could meet BPA here.

at this point in time i think fournette has gone from being mildly overrated to vastly underrated. over analysis at its finest.

Definitely agree.  This is why I have been trying to evaluate the top guys around December so that I don't get sucked into all of the over-analyzing.

The thing I like about this draft and our position is a good argument could be made for a lot of guys who should be there. Nice position to be in.

Depending on who's there at 4, we could potentially try to trade back a little. Something like Tampa did last year, wanted VH3, traded back a few, and still got VH3.


We could theoretically trade back to 9ish and still probably have the ability to draft one of Cook or Fournette

If we have cook rated that high and they think they can trade down and still get their guy...I'm all for that.

I'm not so sure, I can't see Carolina taking a RB that high personally, but who knows.

I don't think so. Carolina has big issues at OT and CB. I believe they take the best OT in the draft, Ryan Ramczyk and then go with a CB like Quincy Wilson in round 2. They could then look at a RB like Samaje Perine in round 3 and still fill their biggest needs in the first couple of rounds. If they take a RB at #8, they could very well miss out on a chance to get an immediate starter at OT.

All depends on their grades, but I agree.  They've got bigger issues than a RB.  It seems pretty popular to mock one there, but Stewart is an alright RB.  Lattimore/Humphrey makes a ton more sense.

Taking a tackle in the top 10 this year will be a huge reach. You'd be passing up on too much talent to focus on need. However I think CB at 8 to Carolina sounds much more realistic. Value matches need there IMO.
