Don't be surprised if we draft a receiver within first three rounds.

Quote:But in this hypothetical senerio. We will draft another receiver. So who would that be?

If we dont. Who cares. Its the offseason. Let's have some fun. And discuss stuff.

Why can't we discuss something that has a tiny shred of a chance of actually happening instead of something that will never happen?

I'd be fine with grabbing Jamari Staples if he's still on the board in the 7th -  or Jehu Chesson as an UDFA.

It won't happen because draft picks are very valuable and you don't waste them on players that will be redundant on your roster.

If they draft a receiver before the fourth it means they intend to deal Lee or Robinson or Hurns away.  I don't think they intend to do that.

Those players are proven commodities. A receiver selected in the draft is not.

They want to give Blake one last shot to get it together, right?  Do you think they are going to do that by taking away someone he's comfortable with and replacing him with a rookie??

I think it would be one of these scenarios:

* There is a WR they think is significantly better than Robinson and Lee's best year.

* There is a WR that has talents we don't already have on roster. Some think we don't have an elite deep speed threat on the team.  But I can't think of anything else.  I don't know how high they would draft a return specialist.

I don't remember contract situations, but we already have a good 5 WRs who easily could make the team (Lee, Robinson, Hurns, Walters, Benn) and then we have Greene if he bounces back.  What type of receiver do you think we would add?

The only way i see us taking a WR in the first three rounds is if someone really good slides down the draft and winds up being too good of a value to pass on at that point. otherwise we are talking about something here that is one of the more unlikely things that we could be discussing.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

If we drafted a WR in the first 3 rounds, that would be a total Ryan Grigson move.

Depending on where Travin Dural goes he could be an option. I do like him!

Not that I personally expect us to draft a wr in the first 3 rounds but as a later option.

I'm with you on Travin Dural. He had awful QB play and does have bad drops but he's so talented. He'll be much better in the NFL.
