Nick Foles

Of all the potential QBs out there available to bring in for competition, I think Nick Foles will be the guy.  Not saying I feel one way or another, just throwing out my prediction.  He seems like the kind of guy the Jags would bring in.

Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.

The fact that a case can be made that Nick Foles is one of the better veteran QB options that might be headed for the open market likely is a substantial reason Chad Henne was re-signed by the Jaguars.

This is one of the few times you don't make any sense.

Please explain why I don't make any sense with what I said.

If Nick Foles is one of the best backup QBs on the market why not sign him and let Chad Henne walk?

D6 was implying that if Foles, a not very good QB, is near the top of possible free agent QBs then resigning Henne became a much more palatable option.

He's not suggesting that Nick Foles is a good QB. He's saying that out of all of the QB's that are likely to be available, Nick Foles is one of the better options on that list. Therefore making Chad Henne a more attractive option.

That's my take on what D6 meant, anyway.

Cooth is not a word. What are you talking about?

Agreed.  Like I mentioned earlier in another thread, I think Henne was re-signed as more or less an insurance policy in the event a better option doesn't present itself. If Foles is the best there is in this free agency period, we're better off with the status quo.  Hopefully, better options will come into scope, most likely via trade options, and we can get someone who can push Bortles, and at a minimum, win the backup role.

Dallas is trying to trade for him. There are plenty of suitors outside of Jacksonville.
