<p style="font-family:Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif;font-size:16px;color:rgb(72,73,74);">This might be a high draft slot for the traditional version of safety, but Adams is more than that. He's a true hybrid who never has to come off the field, because he can run extremely well and cover but also is a beast as an in-the-box defender. The Giants saw Landon Collins break out this year, and Adams has that kind of potential.

At this point Adams would make a ton of sense.

 

It would be especially ideal if we manage to sign JPP in FA (difficult that he's going to be available though). 

Adams is the player that would improve us more compared to what we already have now at the position. Huge upgrade over Cyp.

 

Anyway as long as we don't go RB at 4 i'm fine with either Adams, Allen, Thomas, Lattimore

Hooker is another guy I really like but at this point since we are stuck with Gipson at FS (he was the player who disappointed me the most last season -beside Blake-) and Hooker is under surgery I think that at 4 Adams and the other players make more sense.

 

Not that you skip Hooker talent because of Gipson of course,would still be a worthy pic,  it's just that I see Adams pretty much on Hooker level and would be an immediate upgrade compared to Cyprien.

 

What's your take on Melifonwu? Him and Baker are 2 of the other safeties I like in this class.(not at 4 of course, just generally speaking)

I like Obi a lot. He would be a among my top guys at 35 if we don't go Adams...and if Feeney/Lamp are gone.

 

Baker I'll have to see how he tests. He's just so small and the comps to Matthieu are really unfair expectations to set for Budda. I'm not as high on him as most people are.

Thanks for your comments.I like them both and Melifonwu is pretty freakish at his size. I like Baker attitude and ball skills but size is indeed not ideal.

 

I agree on your take at 35, here's hoping one between Lamp or Feeney end up out of the first round like most mocks suggest but I can't see it happening just like last year Kelly & co' were taken in the first.

I think Reuban Foster is one of the most overrated players in this draft. He'll be a solid player for years but I don't think he's that special.
