Should we draft Mixon? (merged threads)

Quote:“But the guy the Chiefs drafted (Tyreek Hill), Joe Mixon isn’t half the [BAD WORD REMOVED] that guy was. … You’d have to search to find people that don’t like him. Maybe the parking-lot attendant. Everyone there loves him. And I believe them.” Doesn't matter. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
If he seems like he has owned up to his mistake I think his talent is through the roof and worth a gamble on in the mid to late rounds. He certainly could have handled the situation better, but she did strike him first.

If we draft Mixon in the third round, can we sign choir-boy FA Rashad Jennings to just follow him around and smack him in the back of the head whenever he does something stupid?

No. Only tebow can be trusted with such a task.

Katy Mixon, maybe.

I'd draft him. But I'm a person that don't get mixed up in people's personal lives.

He's going to have to really sell himself in the interviews. If he's a team player and it was a one-time thing that doesn't seem to be any kind of pattern, I can see a team taking him early 2nd.
Yes, we should.

You can already feel how the perception is starting to change (more like the disgust is fading over time) in literally one month. It'll be forgotten by this time next year and someone is going to have a hell of a player at a big discount.
Though maybe not too big of a discount actually since draftniks are already thinking he's risen back up to day 2 range. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Maybe it depends on how highly you rate him as a player.
If you think he's up there with Cook and Fournette (or perhaps even the best RB in the draft) then I think you take a chance on him. But if you think he's in the same tier as Foreman, Kamara and McCaffrey then I think there is enough depth to make the risk unnecessary. I think he isn't going to be in that top tier, so he can go and be above average in someone else's team.
Quote:Maybe it depends on how highly you rate him as a player. Even if Joe Mixon was better than Cook and Fournette, the difference would be marginal. A RB-needy team might take a chance on him because he is better than other second-tier players you mentioned.

Quote:Is he worth a third round pick? i would argue that the only running backs close or better than Mixon are Fournette and Cook. I think Fournette and Cook are elite RB prospects, with Mixon close behind them. then there is a significant gap before the rest of the RBs.

IMO mixon is top 3 back on talent alone. That being said can the jags draft him? He is probably falling to at least the third round so when if at all are you OK with drafting him?
Quote:Is he worth a third round pick? There are no running backs that I can see from the third round or later that would come close to mixons talent.
