I was lamenting the zapping of my old PS3 because I couldn't go back and play Far Cry 3. 

 

I then started thinking about other games I couldn't play, most notably Hitman: Absolution.  I realized these games had three of my all time favorite missions.

 

In Far Cry 3, the Flamethrower mission where you set fire to this huge marijuana field belonging to the pirates was a lot of fun. I particularly liked the song that accompanied the action.

 

There were two missions in Hitman Absolution I really enjoyed.  One was when you are trying to escape from the police, who are searching for you in an abandoned library.

 

The other was when you are tasked with killing this local crime boss in this crowded part of town (a Chinatown portion of Chicago?)  There was some sort of festival, and you had to devise a way of killing these people without drawing attention/suspicion to yourself and then finally getting away.  The scenario seemed so realistic with the throngs of people and the scenery, it was just a lot of fun to me.

 

Other favorite missions of mine were from The Last of Us (the Bill missions and Pittsburgh & the Suburbs).

 

What are some of your favorite missions?

 

I have to imagine the GTA and Uncharted series would figure prominently here.

Skyrim has a ton of quests in it but "A Night To Remember" is hilarious and fun to achieve. Final Fantasy XV is also pretty funny when you do an errand for Cindy. Prompto's dialogue regarding her is hilarious at times.

Basically the entirety of Tiny Tina's Assault On Dragon Keep from Borderlands 2.  Been a while since I've played it, but I just remember it being as funny, if not funnier, than the base game, and just some really good character development too.

I've played Oblivion, not Skyrim.

Yeah. The first one didn't have a great story outside of General Knox or Dr Ned's Zombie Island DLC. You will however miss out on the original Vault Hunters(Playable characters) and their stories which do play a huge role in the 2ND game. If your on Xbox One let me know I'm always happy to dive back into Borderlands.

First game barely had a story, so to your question, yes.  The 2nd game is more refined in every sense.  Tales from the Borderlands was amazing, I hope there is a season two.

If anything, I would play the Pre-Sequel first.  It provides some more info into the characters and it's set prior to BL2.  Just don't go from BL2 to BL-PS, PS just isn't nearly as good.
