We're kind of replacing one hole for another, although LT is obviously more important than TE. The other problem is that Albert isn't even that great at this point in his career. I think we would have been just as well off if not better keeping Beachum and JT.

Our young TEs didn't do too bad in JTs absence. And I'm sure Lewis will be back.

Is it feasible that a possible trade for Albert is being used as a ploy to negotiate a better contract with Beachum?

Its also possible that we could trade for Albert and still sign Beachum with Albert playing guard or rt which he has before i believe

IMO bring in as many veteran, draft picks, young guns, etc. The o-line needs bodies, and depth. We have plenty of cap space. Bring in Albert and bring back Beachum. Sign more and let the dominoes fall. We need a functional line.

Except we're not just signing him. If the rumor is to be believed we're trading young talent for him. There's a huge difference.

That would make next years madden better.

Id move Revis to SS and trade Romo again for some picks to the browns. Id then leave Mario on the trade block and see who bites

Calling JT young talent is a bit of a stretch, he will be 29 this season, and his best season was 4 years ago with Peyton.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

Young is a stretch but 29 is also pretty young in tight end years

and his best season was the last time he had a good team.

We were probably going to cut Thomas as well if we didn't trade him imo

Not so sure about that. Thomas is only 29 as well. I'd want a 4th or 5th back.
