Other Potential O-Line Targets

#1

I just read a couple of articles on NFL.com that named several O-Linemen who are on the roster bubbles for their teams. If we just wait, I see some options at LT, RT and the interior O-Line as well. Some of the names I were quite surprised by. Especially Doug Free.

Nick Mangold C

Ryan Clady LT

Russell Okung LT

Sebasian Vollmer RT

Jason Kelce C

Doug Free RT

Jason Peters LT

Michael Oher RT/LT

Evan Smith C

Personally, I would be very interested in both Doug Free and Sebastian Vollmer. Both should be immediate upgrades at RT over Parnell.

Russell Okung was a disaster last year. His contract is like Kelvin Beachum's and he was the worst part of Denver's offensive line.

Michael Oher is not good either. ZNation said he has been in the concussion protocol since Week 2.

Jason Peters missed 10 games last year because of a failed drug test.

T.J. Lang, please! I don't know why the Packers have not offered him a contract yet. He would be an immediate upgrade at RG.

He had been playing with a broken foot and aggravated the injury in Atlanta.

Isn't Peters like a premier LT? What's he doing available and nothing mentioned of him earlier? That doesn't make sense

How'd he play last year?

Mangold would be of interest to me. If we got him, put Linder at RG, that solves some issues.

Peters and Vollmer would add instant security on the edges.

Obviously we can't do all of this but there are some good names on that list. The only Jags Oline player I see as a legit starter is Linder right now.

Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.

He was still good from what I can gather from eagles fans.

No. He signed an extension last year with Green Bay. If he would have hit the open market, he would've been one of the top free agents out there, if not the #1 overall free agent.

There is no reason to move Linder. He is young, healthy, and playing well at the position. I like Mangold, but he is much older and breaking one thing to fix something else does not make sense.
