One thumb up. Strong #2 overall caliber candidate purely on the field, but combining the serious medical questions and the Niners spending their last two first rounders on similar players keeps this from being a home run.

I don't know if you want to give him some more time or not but if he doesn't answer I'd go with:

 

Solomon Thomas - DE - Stanford 

 

Chicago was pretty weak in the pass rushing department last year and I think it's still a reach if they take a QB anywhere in the top ten from this class. So I'll give them arguably one of the better DE's in this draft.

This QB class is weak. I am sure at some point QB needy teams will start to reach and trigger a domino effect or run at the position. But I expect to see the same thing that happened with the first round QB's from 2011 end up the same way in 2017.

 

Trubisky doesn't have a lot of experience. Kizer was inconsistent and was benched at one point. Watson is turnover prone and his style of play could lead to injuries and Patrick Mahomes may end up being a Paxton Lynch type pick at the end of RD1. 

 

That's not to say that they can't be any good in the NFL. i just think a lot of these guys aren't NFL ready and if they go early in RD1 they're going to be pressed into the starting job before they're ready and you'll get the Locker's, Gabbert's & Ponder's all over again.
