If the browns ask the Jaguars for trade for #4 - Your take

#41

Quote:How about this...

Cleveland trades #12 and a 4th to New England for Garoppolo.

New England trades #12 & 32 to move to #4.  At #4, they take WR Mike WIlliams out of Clemson.

Jacksonville ends up with 3 picks in the top 36.

Under this scenario...

1.  Cleveland-Myles Garrett

2.  San Francisco-Mitch Trubisky QB

3.  Chicago-Watson

4.  New England (from Jax)-Williams

5.  Tennessee-Malik Hooker

6. N.Y. Jets-Marshon Lattimore

7. L.A. Chargers (I cringed typing that)-Jon Allen

8.  Carolina-Leonard Fournette

9.  Cincinnati-???

10.  Buffalo-???

11.  New Orleans-???

12.  Jacksonville (from NE via Cle)-Cook, Barnett???

At 32, I might take Cam Robinson if available and put him in at RT...then OJ Howard or Leggett at 35....possibly even dealing up into the first round to ensure those players.

What about BIG UGLIES with those picks......

12- Cook - We NEED a RB

32- Feeney - Guard

35- Lamp- Guard

From my original post we moved up to 32 now and would do the above instead of a SS. After thinking about it, Jags still have FA and we have Sample that has showed nothing, but flashes. ( Could compete with a FA or re-sign Cyp)

My thinking with two Guards....... we have the interior of the O-line set for a decade (w/ Linder). RB-G-G makes BB5 have an improved line to make plays to our talented WR core, and the RB to keep the defense honest for BB5.

Some of you want a TE, but we don't use the TE in this Offense as much as we probably need too. BK can handle it, along with Sterling. Also FA has a couple decent players.

Some want defensive help at the top of the draft, maybe that can be addressed in FA this year with potentially DE JPP, CB Bouye, DE Melvin Ingram, SS Micah Hyde, out there with much cap room for use. Two out of those Four would be huge in any combination and an upgrade to what we have. Also the development of Yannick and Fowler is a must.

Alualu should be resigned/extended for depth.

LOVE THEM JAGUARS!

My take is Clev isn't trading up to 4 to get in front of Tenn to take a QB.  More likely they'd trade to 5 to skip the jets.

Right, there is no reason to. They would trade down three spots from #1 if they wanted the #4 pick. And there will definitely be a QB at #12.

If the draft plays out like they normally do and the QBs that are being projected in the teens now eventually make they're way to the top of the draft then there will absolutely be interest at both 4 & 5 especially if neither Chicago or the 49ers take one. They're not going to wait for the Titans to start making phone calls, heck even the Jets could try and hop over the Titans. Teams go nuts over QBs at the top of the draft.

If the draft plays out as it normally does the Browns will trade down from #1, not up from #12.

Quote:I think we should get more from Cleveland if we're surrendering the 4th slot for just the 12th and 33rd slot. I want their 65th pick as well in the 3RD and a future pick in next years draft like a 2nd or 3rd at the minimum.

In this situation we'd get

#12 - Cam Robinson - OT - Alabama - Play him at RT

#33 - DeMarcus Walker - DE - Florida State

#35 - Dan Feeney - G - Indiana

#65 - Curtis Samuel - WR/RB/KR - Ohio State

#68 - Davis Webb - QB - California
Agree with this, I would take a 1st 2nd 4th tho and be happy.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster
