I guess the median point would be $110k since the avg income in Jacksonville is $55k.  From there your tax benefit would increase incrementally by the $$ you are below the average or decrease incrementally pending on how much you are above the average income.

Calm down buddy. The run up to the speech was the left melting down over the fact that he wants to cut the state departments budget. He has already said that he is going to leave hundreds, if not thousands of government Jobs unfilled. Every Cabinet Secretary that he has appointed has the mandate to cut the departments down to size. He has already said that he is cutting EPA funding. He has already said that we could be looking at a 50-75% reduction in the regulatory state.


This is going to be a major win for the libertarian wing of the party.

As for taxes, I hate the idea of a Border Adjustment tax (tariff just sounds all protectionisty doesn't it?) but I think that within the context of broader foreign policy and the example of Harley Davidson, that the premise isn't going to be that a lot of countries will actually be subject to it. It will provide natural incentive for countries to enter into Bilateral Free Trade agreements to make sure that the conditions of trade between countries is reciprocal. As he pointed out, if you have no t<del>ariffs </del>Border Adjustment tax on Imports but our exports are subject to massive Tariff Walls then that creates a statutory Trade deficit, as he pointed out nearly 800 billion dollars.


Personally, just lower the corporate tax rate and that will take care of itself but 65 million votes in 2020. It is what it is.

There wasn't much libertarian in that speech last night. I'm good with a lot of stuff that I'm told trump wants to do but when I listened to him last night I heard spend spend spend and then were going to reduce taxes with zero specifics on who or how.

Not true. Nitrate free / uncured bacon is a good alternative to the highly processed bacon that's going for $9.99. Anything can kill you if not done in moderation. The highly processed carbohydrates / processed sugars is what's killing us.
