CB the # 1 priority for 2017 Free Agency?

Gilmore and Bouye looks to be testing the market. Gilmore vs ARob in training camp should warrant bringing out the popcorn.

I think it is, letting Amukamara, shopping House...to me it seems they are preparing to make a strong push for one of the top CBs available in FA.

He was outspoken after Marrone left, saying the bills upgraded when they signed Rex Ryan. Whether it's because he might respect Marrone less, or whether Marrone will trust him less, I think it may not happen because of the fallout surrounding Marrone's departure. Of course, I'd love to be wrong, they let bygones be bygones, Gilmore signs here as a free agent, and the Jaguars have the best duo of CBs since Revis and Cromartie for the next 4-5 years. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Marrone was asked about Amukamara today at the combine and said they are talking with him but they only won 3 games last year so they are looking at every possible way to improve the team.
The way I heard it he was implying they are looking for a better CB in FA. (video of Marrone press conference is on the homepage) Quote:I think it is, letting Amukamara, shopping House...to me it seems they are preparing to make a strong push for one of the top CBs available in FA. That and/or draft. Hopefully both. At minimum, I'd keep Prince and draft. If they can upgrade him in FA and still add in the draft, even better.

Stephon Gilmore is decent and AJ Bouye only flashed this year.
Tough decision but I would go with neither really. Too many talented DBs in the draft but I'd definitely take Bouye over Gilmore just to weaken our rival.

Gilmore gets more turnovers and I could see him and Ramsey working well together.
Gilmore is a gambler, that creates turnovers, but also gets burned more than some may like. I would take either player as an upgrade, but would prefer Bouye. If they go CB in the draft, I would love to see Marshon Lattimore...what a pair he would make with Ramsey.

They need a CB#2 and getting one in free agency is conceivable this offseason.
There will also likely be one that can start right right away sitting there when they make their second round pick.
I'm wary of the Bouye hype since it was only one year. But it would be a win-win. Upgrade our secondary while weakening Houston's
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Sign Bouye, draft Adams... Good god what a secondary

Quote:Sign Bouye, draft Adams... Good god what a secondary The tinhorns' play-by-play guy was talking to Frangie today on the radio and mentioned that fans there are concerned about the Jags signing Bouye away and adding him to a divisional defense that is clearly ascending. Would be nice to short them and round out our secondary in one swoop. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I'd for sure be down with it. My only concern I mentioned is the "one year wonder" thing.

Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
