Quote:It's segments and political articles like this that have ultimately become the death knell of ESPN. They're losing subscribers out the [BAD WORD REMOVED] on a daily basis.

And they just had an article out the other day that they're fixing to have some huge job cuts that could change a lot of the current programs they have on air. As more people cut the cable it obviously gives them more freedom and access to additional sports related content that strictly focus on sports.

I honestly can't remember the last time I watched anything on ESPN for more than 10 minutes outside of a MNF game. That's the only time I am truly tuned in on there. Between the SEC, NFL, NBA, NHL & MLB networks out there you really don't need them anymore.

God forbid you get something other than just the scores!

And try as you might, your narrative that ESPN is losing subscribers due to "political articles" is false. What are you afraid of?

ESPN is losing subscribers due to people cutting the cord, not because someone may actually see something that doesn't fit some political agenda. Just like like many other cable entities.

Agreed.

He/she knew she had an unfair advantage and took it anyway. If he/she truly believes they're male (on testosterone no less), then he/she should have some pride and withdraw. He/she took away from girls that worked hard (without testosterone) and robbed them of the chance to win.

If I wanted to see something about political policy and social issues I'd try to gut it out through CNN or FOX. I am not afraid of anything. I also acknowledged people were cutting the cable. So that of course plays a role in their net losses.

But they have been leaning left and have been pretty liberal with some of their views. There was a great article about this. I read it a month ago. If I come across it again I'll link it back in this thread. But they've turned off a lot of sports fans because of these very same stories.

**EDIT**

Not really.  I cut the cord a while back, yet I still receive ESPN programming legally.  Do I watch it?  Rarely anymore.

Based on my personal viewing you are 100% wrong.  I don't tune into sports to see political opinions.  As soon as ESPN goes that direction I turn the channel.  What are you basing your view on?  Link?

I also don't watch ESPN except for the occasional 30 for 30 program. Sometimes they have a really good one.

We moved our Fantasy League off ESPN because we were sick of the agenda pushing. I haven't paid for cable in years but I will never pay for ESPN insider again.

Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.
