Allen should play DT in a 4-3 or De in a 3-4 if we are just talking traditional base set up.


I don't think he's a tweener at all. I think he's gifted enough that he could do other things well, which is why teams will move him all over the line.


If he didn't have the shoulder arthritis, he would be my 3rd ranked player behind adams and Garrett.

100% agree that it's laziness. Analysts look at where he played in college, which was different spots on the line, so they lazily say he's a tweener.


These guys just need something to say these days. The draft was a lot smarter and reasonable before the media made it into a money grabbing circus.

"edge" is a location on the field/formation, which by extension defines a role which changes depending on strong or weak side


"edge is NOT a position any player actually plays. A lot of analysts misuse it in this way.


OLBs and DEs are the positions, which depend on whether 3-4 or 4-3. One will not find "edge" on any depth chart.

Edge as its being used by these analysts are 3-4olbs and 4-3 ends. None of what youre saying here matters.
